Um... yeah, been so drained and tired lately.... I don't even think I made a post this "morning" when I got on. I don't know. Too tired to look it up. I also feel like I missed whatever Mimes theme of the day was... anyone know what it was? Is Mime missing?

I think there should be a number calculated on the profile by doing reaction point/message, it's a good indicator of how someone posts are appreciate and i would avoid the bias that for reaction points older users are advantaged.

That would still give old posts a greater weight, because they've been around a lot longer, and more people have had a chance to see them and like them, so it's still skewed. You'd have to do a ratio of points/unique views and throw out the statistical outliers.

That would be an interesting statistic. I still think, without any evidence, that well established lurkers would receive more reactions per post, even if the post was identical to a new lurker. But that's just a hypothesis.

Now to address the old vs new. You could easily compare averages of post based on how old they are, find the variance and then weigh newer posts accordingly. Or you could simply limit the scope of the score to the last 6 months. Any post older than that would not be included in the score, thereby making the score more relevant to recent and fresh conversations. This would also make it easier for long time individuals who have improved in the quality of their post to not be weighed down by years of older post that were of less quality.

I do like this idea.
