Fuckery meter full, time to blast off

On the bubble my fabulous family of fantastic fuckos
And - like clockwork - as the Eurotrash starts showing up - it's time for me to go to bed (just kidding I love you guys)

Sleep well all and dream sweet dreams

I admit he did ok in Knight Rider -- but he was tremendously dwarfed in his acting ability by KITT
Time for the mime to get some sleep.

I think you'll have difficulty with gifs of the theme today, since there's a blizzard out there right now. I think we'll have some snowy beauties in the image threads though!

Damm! 45 minutes without a single post? Well, hopefully my double post will be forgiven (or someone will post while I am writing)

You're not so alone as you might think with that.

Fuck! A Guinness has 4,2 vol, a double IPA starts tipically at 8 vol, Bell's (I checked) turned it up to 11 vol! (I wonder if that's intentional). And that's exactly my problem with american beers/ales (at least with the ones I get on my side of the pond), they always have to turn it up to eleven.
My taste buds would be overwhelmed by a single pint and you managed to drink 2 liters of that? Sir, you have my admiration.

Pine, minty flavours are typical from chinook or centennial hops (and many others "super" hops), almost obligatory ingredients in any US Double IPA.
Next time you don't find any Guinness, ask for an Irish Dry Stout (same style as Guinness) or anything they might have from the stout/porter family. I especially recommend oatmeal or milk stouts if you love that smooth mouthfeel. Just avoid anything that has Baltic or Imperial in the name.
less the ABV, the more you can drink before passing out ;)
a guinness does go nicely with a good steak, any stout does nicely too. puts a nice cap on the fats of the steak to meld the flavor in.
I would rather have a nice sour if I'm looking for a change of pace. every once in a while I do find an IPA I like, but any double-triple IPA is too much hops.
Since they are experimenting with a lot of new high alpha acids hops, brewing a lot of IPLs (India Pale Lager) and almost going as crazy as their belgian neighborhoods (ok, nobody is as crazy as belgians when it comes to their ales) I would say that's another

That said I would take a Session IPA or an american or bohemian Pils over a double IPA ten times out of ten.
Interesting. now I'm not necessarily in favor of letting German scientists run wild and free without supervision..... that has a history of going poorly. but if it's in favor of the beer, I'd say let 'em run wild.

give me a hefeweisen over anything. a nice traditional German lager will work too

I haven't done a first person shooter since playing Doom/Hexen (yeah, that shows my age a little). I enjoy turned based stuff mostly (really loved BG3), but have considered trying something new. If I were to try something new, what would you suggest?
Ohhh Hexen is a good one!
If you wanna update a little on FPS games, then DOOM from 2016 would be a fine start.
But if you wanna jump into another genre, Steam Winter Sale, is hopefully gonna start soon, and Grim Dawn is a fun game, where you collect items and build your character, with different skills. :p
Suggest looking at videos first, so you can see a little about them first.
Damn i'm late......hurrying

There ya go Slummy,

Off to the dream realm

on the bubble ;)
He made it! Yay! Or well, better late than never. :p

Sleep well Bonki, see you later.
Night Slum hope you had a good Saturday like me
I did, here's to hoping Sunday will be as good!
Really? It's also the latest one. You don't think the success is gonna nudge them at least a bit to try and make the following ones better? Maybe not good, but at least better.
I really hope that! So we can get some good movies again!
Yo I just got this recommended on YouTube

At first glance looks like an actually decent Stardew Valley in 3D, but looking at the features listed on their website... This game is supposed to have EVERYTHING in gaming ever. There's no way it ever delivers, right..?
Automation?!..
Well I'm almost sold... :p
But yeah seems a little much for a game, that apparently still needs a kickstarter. 🤔

That list needs at least one more person, right?
Oh mighty mods, I see you all doing mod stuff.
Come to the thread on this Sunday, relax and have some fun.

Hey, Inyo! Good to see you here
Same to you. I hope everything been fine where you are and all. I didn't visit here for couple days. Just been cleaning out old caravan and today one of my goose was killed by accident. Crate fell on top and I didn't know, but other than this nothing out of normal. Just thinking what to get my partner for Christmas. Do you have plans?
Tofu is great as Tofu, put in places where it can soak up sauce and get flavor. I know it's a problem for most people, but the idea that something has to taste like meat shouldn't be the selling point.
Exactly I agree. I like Tofu in some soup-s and where it belong, but to be honest, I never had the flavor foods taste as nice as the real thing. Why will someone not eat met and then turn and say they want meat flavor? Sounds strange to me.
yes, I grew up eating a lot of red meat. that's just what the culture is. we would buy a whole cow to butcher and feed the family. but now I only eat approx. 2-4 servings of red meat per week, especially since it's store bought. more chicken than red meat now. and I get a lot of my protein from beans and nuts. fresh produce is expensive here, so I get what I get. summertime I grow my own veggies.
I definitely will never be vegan or vegetarian, but I understand why people do. but I like tasty animals haha.
I agree with you. I used eat a lot of meat. Still do, but not so much red meat. I eat some, but lot of pork, fish and some chicken. Our food cost here is also expensive, so, last couple year I been thinking to grow my own veggies, but our summertime is hot and humid, which make outside work hard for me. My X was vegan and very healthy. She never stopped me from eating meat, but I see her point and understand why vegan food can taste delicious if it is make with love and thought. I wont become vegan. I like both meat and veggies too much, but a lot of beans base food or noodles can be tasty. Here noodles is probably the top selling food, especially for students and those who don't like so much time cooking some fancy meat base food. We are lucky we have quality food here and so, it helps a lot

Morning Slum......
Morning Vkun, you haven't slept yet?
We gotta get you some way, to fall asleep easily.
