There are very limited exceptions for ai art allowed on the site. You can find a thread that explains what ai is allowed in avatars, postbits, etc.

And if you are an ai artist, you should be sending me a direct message as we do have regular art contests in the community.

I have a daily theme for the ai art community, but I post in here as well. The rest of the community can enjoy the theme as well.




Seriously, if anyone wants to get into ai art, you don't need to have skills of your own. You just need to be willing to learn how to prompt the ai effectively and there are plenty of free services each with its own limits.


With some, you can learn to get around them. Start a direct message conversation with one of our artists on here (or me), or you can search our tutorial threads for more info.

What's up everybody long time no post! Work been crazy lately and man am I tired. But been finding small moments to play games lately. Mostly Grounded actually. Fairly fun game survival crafting inspired by the honey I shrunk the kids movie line. Set in the 80s. It's wild. Favorite thing to do right now is lure enemies into fighting each other cuz if you can get them to damage each other they just start brawling like a fight pit. Get alot of free resources that way. Bit of a rant but was wondering in the "survival crafting" genre of games what if any is your favorite?

Darkcookie is still doing public art-streams for potential future updates of the game, afaik.

AFAIK, Star Citizen indeed simply needs that much money for development, actually.

Their issue, as I see it, is that they promise tech that is 5-10 years in the future. Which in turn means that they have to develop, and keep developing, revolutionary new technology every year. Which takes a lot of (expensive) highly skilled developers a lot of time. After a few cycles of that, the rest of the world has caught up, and Star Citizen starts a new hype cycle for the next update.

If you look at how many hundreds of millions of Dollars AAA games cost these days, now imagine if they were actually building new standards for their games instead of making the next game in a franchise.

The end goal of Star Citizen seems to be a fully immersive universe simulator. Given how many things there happen to be in a universe, they can burn up all the money they get on developers, then double that, and have endlessly more to spend.

Their latest endeavour is a full movie with well-known actors, filmed entirely within the game world, as far as I know. It’s a big hole, and it fits a lot of money. On the bright side, it is already a very pretty hole, so if you are satisfied with the current state, you may well get your money’s worth.

This is why they keep pulling money. People defending obviously gross business practices. I've discussed this particular topic ad nauseum with other people so that I no longer bother actually expounding on my points but, have a video that partly covers what I would normally say.
