In short, I think the Switch was a downgrade and I'll always stand by this opinion!

I personally love the switch, but i find i only ever use it away from home or if im in bed. I dont find myself going to use it otherwise. Idk why that is.

I used public transport and I'm afraid of being robbed, so I never leave home with it.
And even on bed I mostly played on TV but whenever the battery is low of have to just fuck off, because you can't play on TV mode while charging unless you buy third party accesories that is hella expensive here.
But I have to take my hat off to the fact that the Joycon is separated. I can play while laying down, with each arm to a different side. Hahaha

Nintendo usually did that, so I would be surprised if this wasn't the case.
Either way, it's good to finally have confirmation of it.

I used public transport and I'm afraid of being robbed, so I never leave home with it.

It had been rumored for years now, but Nintendo actually acknowledged it back in may, and said it would be officially announced on this fiscal year (so before april 2025).

I really mustn't play my switch that much cos I never knew it didnt charge when on the dock, i've never had battery issues in the years ive owned it haha. Ooof.
But yeah the joycons are great, I just wish they weren't so clunky. Like even the pro remote has clunky joysticks, they are so overly sensitive, they are so hard to control on games where you need precision. Its unbearable at times

The switch charges, but not the joycon. They can only carge when connected to the Switch, so if the battery is low you can play on TV.
Joycon is Nintendo's worst controllers that I ever used. It's small, it's uncomfortable, it's weird. Mine had drift after just one month of use...

Mine have had drift for a lot of time now, because unlike Nintendo, they don't offer free repairing without the invoice.
But Joycons even without the drift I hate them.
They're too small for my hands (even more ao when using the half of it sideways), the buttons seems off, the position of them make my thumb hurt and they removed the best D-Pad ever made.
It boggles my mind that Sega fixed the drift problem back on the 90's, and we still have ir in other consoles nowadays...

No matter the game I always value performance over aesthetics any day, 30 FPS and FRAME DROPS are my worst enemy!

i am one of those that will always prioritise performance. i do enjoy graphics unless the designers decided to put shitty filter on top of shitty filter with ludicrous motion blur at tiniest movement and forcing focus blurring on top of it so it all just looks like someone tripping on acid while drunk trying to go to the toilet to puke
