tags i avoid:
    • futa
    • NTR (i can deal with avoidable i don't want "skipable" if it still happens in the story) - I avoid cheating/sharing as well since to me its similarly undesirable
    • HTML
    • RPGM
    • VORE (honestly till this thread i didn't even realize vor was one.. but yeah.. gonna avoid that one too)
    • SCAT
    • GAY

But what actually kills a game for me:
    • excessive grinding - (sandbox games) A little grind is fine but man if it take me 10+ repeated actions to move the story then you probably don't have much content and just want to pretend you have a game
    • excessive LI's - i know its a porn game but i'd like to care about the LI's at least a little. too many and I just stop caring and thats if they even get enough time to be fleshed out. (I admit here my line of whats too many is subconsciously an axis graph of artwork quality vs character depth)
    • the digdug affect - i mean the LI's who have massively inflated boobs and butts out of proportion (i admit i like boobs on the smaller side even on mature women - so out of proportionally big boobs irk me a lot)
    • Requiring walkthrough to even play - when sandboxes get so cryptic to move story or VN's have outcomes on decisions (usually not immediate repurcussions) which are so unintuitive that you need to find a walkthrough. (This to me is different then wanting one after a play through to get everything)
    • Also sometimes if things get a little too dark particularly if the MC is the one doing it and i have no choice in the matter and wasn't warned (shrug i like the good routes where everyone ends up happy :D )
    • Stupid MC that doesn't learn - Not a fan of the dense MC but i'll give the game a shot.. but if the MC makes stupid decisions out of my control to advance plot than does it again without learning? i'm out.
    [*]
Things that bother me when i support a dev working on a game:
    • Constantly breaking saves (this is especially heinous in a sandbox game) with updates - once or twice happens but if its consant i'll likely lower my support and just wait till game is finished
    • Up and disapearing without even a still alive flag wave - this is less of an issue if your support is set to releases/updates instead of monthly (but still wanna know i should keep watching for your stuff)
    • Changing the style or main content of your game midstream - this includes going back over and changing all the art to change up LI's without really upping the quality. Another is when a game completely loses track of the point of their MC's story (though corruption games differ here cause that might be the point)
    • Suddenly adding more games that reduce work on the game i supported you for - e.g. i like a particular game and started supporting it then a 6 months in they announce an NTR game they are starting work on that impacts releases for this one.. if your gonna reduce the time you work on the game i like by half why support you with the same amount of money?
    • Un-loli your loli badly- Similar to another point i had before but this gets its own shout out because of the loli scare - if you have a loli in your game and you suddenly don't want one don't just make her taller or big boobed. If your going to do it for whatever reason make sure she is redone well cause your going to get way more scrutiny and criticism so she better look better than before not mutated
    • Update numbers go up quality goes down - pretty self explanatory and thankfully not my usual reason for stopping a subscribestar/patreon support but there have been a few out there that had good writing or good art at first but those slide downhilll later in dev without any good reason.

The words Kinetic and Novel put together are enough to make me be very hesitant to open up the page, sandbox is another.

Totally agree on the Kinetic part. Sandbox, I'm hesitant as well. Depends on how it is implemented. If you have to be at a certain location, at a certain time, on a specific day of the week, with no indication you need to be there.... Grrrr. Yeah, that annoys me.

Assuming I'm already playing the game (thus a game that doesn't have any of the tags I'd avoid) probably excessive grinding, a dumb MC, or a meandering story. I don't mind walkthrough if its something like Good Girl Gone Bad, and I want to try and get a very specific scene, but if I need it just to figure out how to progress the story, then that sucks.

When there are characters with those stupid elf ears. I don't like fantasy in adult games period, but sometimes it worms its way into other ones.

Stylistically kinetic novels are just boring to me, I don't want to install a game just to get what's essentially a comic. Gimme some interaction.

On the content side, not a fan of the crazy unrealistic huge cowtits you get in some of the lewd games out there

ME! I ruin games! I ruin all of them if I can get my hands on them!

Grinding with little reward - particularly when you have to repeat the same action several times, to build up the trigger points. Unless there's a walkthrough, then you never know whether you've done something correctly or if its a dead-end route.

Multiple Protagonists.
Cant remember a game i was fine with it being there ngl + it most often comes with other "bad" tags id rather avoid~

Sometimes I'm the one who ruins the game I'm playing when I stop reading the story and dialogue and click ahead quickly. I think I'd be better off if I took more time.

On the other side too much dialogue can be pretty annoying.

That is the worst. I've quit a few just for that reason alone.

Unnecessary political views being put into the game in an unavoidable way.

if you see KN just walk away because its not a game
Yep. If you don't want input, just watch porn. The graphics are way better.

Also - furry. That shit's just weird.

Intense grind for little to no reward. I can't think of specific examples, but where the creator expects you to grind 2-3 hours to build a single stat at a slow rate for little to no content in the end. I'm all for putting in the work on a game, but too much for too little is just disheartening. Thinking of games where they want you strength to be 50-100 (let's say) in order to unlock a phone number and each training increases by 1, and you can only max out maybe 5 a day. I know there are a lot of games still developing and adding content, but I feel like they should tone back on the requirements until maybe a later/fuller release?

Even worse is when it includes things that DROP stats.

When a dev tries to please everyone and starts adding content to the game that they had no desire to make and makes no sense to be added eg adding netorare to a Harem game cause some people requested/ paid for said content or adding optional Netorare or Harem options to a game that was originally supposed to be a ntr game
Tags that I really don't like are real porn and text based games not to keen on netorare side of ntr games either but will play odd couple if they are well made
This... Tags are usually your preference, so that doesn't matter.

Let me give you a bit of dev's perspective a bit. A lot of players (and I mean LOUD players) want their own tags and preferences in the game for the girl they like,
they would leave comments like (it has this tag and I hate this tag. I really like this game a lot but then this and that started happening, I'm ignoring/unfollowing this) this really discourages the dev and makes them think... maybe he is right... and I'm doing things wrong. So he starts to add the things that they do like, but in turn lose their own passion for their game and slowly lose the motivation to make/give updates.

while i understand your point its a bit of a double edged sword doing that as a lot of the time when a dev does that they end up alienating or losing a percentage some times a major one of supporters who liked the game as it was. Obviously its my opinion everyone is entitled to their own but i think a dev should create the game they want to create and enjoy working on rather than making a game just to bring in plenty of funds it should be their story to tell that they actually enjoy doing. The people who post comments like that aren't supporters anyway they just want their kinks to be forced upon every game so they can get their thrills screw anyone else or what the dev wants to create. Its better to create the game how you want and with true supporters than with people like that. but as life is sometimes money trumps all.

forcing content and changing the story for now reason and forcing pay to play shit
