I never watched any Alien movies, the only thing I know about the franchise is how awful was the the Colonial Marines game (I think it was one of the fee cases where refund as accepted automatically regardless of time played). Alien and Aliens (1st and 2nd film) are classics and really good movies, with great direction, photography and acting. No person can call himself SF fan without watching them.

What extra funny about the Colonial Marines game was it was mostly fixed by a modder who found a spelling error in the code.

I still watch Alien every now and then when I'm doing something that allows for something in the background.
It still holds pretty good by today standards. It's not Jurassic park, but still.

So I have a question for anyone here who's played stellar blade on ps5 or who wants to play it.

Who's excited for it to release on pc for the mods?

I would say I have tepid interest. I don't get hyped for games anymore really, other than full releases of games I've already played and enjoyed in Early Access. I'll throw it on my wishlist and if people say it isn't a shitshow port I might pick it up when it goes on sale and the mods have come out.

From what I've read, it's about different quality in different cd/dvd's. If one bought the cheapest writeable ones, they could last as little as 5-6 years.
From an archival POV, I've heard the standard is spinning hard-drive or high capacity tape, always having copies on another drive/media, and a schedule for migrating onto new drive/media often enough that risk of dataloss becomes neglible....

I've worked at a place where tapes were the go-to, they had a ton of data that had regulatory requirements for storing for decades though. I have a backup external HDD but honestly there just isn't anything I keep on my computer that I'm that concerned about losing, the most valuable things are my porn game saves

There was an Alien v Predator game that was pretty good, at least for when it came out. It was cool because you could play as humans, aliens or predators and they all had different abilities and movement styles.

I would not be surprised if 10-20% of my discs are no longer functional... and if any of you have LaserDiscs laying around (showing my age here! ) those things are toast

I spent lots of years avoiding all that were HS or HS2 because all the ones that I've tried were shit, but since I saw so many people praising One in a Lifetime I decided to give a try and loved it. Then I went to Eternum and Pale Carnation and I figured I was wrong. Mist is on my list ever since, but didn't got to play it yet.

I'd say its worth it (thats coming from a guy thats not usually into VN)

I have very specific bacon taste, it has to be done in a certain way depending on what you are eating it with.
For example, I like it crispy on burgers but soft on pizza.

Unraid is super good, and buying refurbished enterprise hdds is relatively cheap
