It's been years since I tried a CD or DVD, so I don't know how mine are. I didn't even know of this!
But I remember that with scratching most DVDs that weren't read by their respective devices could still be copied with a computer because it didn't need to be read in real time.
This saved me lots of times during the PS2 era.
From what I've read, it's about different quality in different cd/dvd's. If one bought the cheapest writeable ones, they could last as little as 5-6 years.
From an archival POV, I've heard the standard is spinning hard-drive or high capacity tape, always having copies on another drive/media, and a schedule for migrating onto new drive/media often enough that risk of dataloss becomes neglible....

The ideal is using a reliable cloud service or having multiple HDs in a raid architecture, but both cost money that I don't have. Hahaha

Hey, the movie may suck... like REALLY suck badly... but let's not go crazy.

Let's say: MOST of the NTR grinding sandboxes are better than Prometheus.

Whoa whoa whoa!
Prometheus could have been better if they didn't shoehorn in the Alien and the robot guy.
Plus, NTR is yuck.
Let's be honest, there are really only 2 Alien good movies.
Even this, was a better idea than Prometheus.

So I have a question for anyone here who's played stellar blade on ps5 or who wants to play it.

Who's excited for it to release on pc for the mods?
So many possibilities!
You could made the sexy ladies even more pornographic, but you could also make the monsters pretty wild.

I have used a metal polish and dremel at low speed to fix a couple Blu-rays.
But this is the actual read surface having problems.
I took a pic, but forgot to attach it last time, so this is also for @Safetydummy

I object! NTR is still widely used as a umbrela term to Netorare, Netori and Netorase. Netorare is yuck, the others aren't. 😔
I've never been into the betrayal or sharing so much.
If it's just some thot, then I wouldn't mind. But, that's not really what any NTR is...

I'll take soft. Crispy is nice, but way more times than I'd like it wasn't crispy, it was fucking hard, like a rock. 😢
I said crispy, not burnt to hell!
The little crunch with the salty pork flavor in a cheese-stuffed pepper is peak bacon, though.

The last I've heard the december trial were postponed, and then no one talked about it again. 🤔
Hmmm.... I thought he already plead? I might have seen something wrong, then.

Yeah, for private and non-wealthy user cases, one seldom checks all the boxes. The 3-2-1 rule is often mentioned: three copies of your data on two different types of media with one copy off-site. I've known about that rule for a decade, and never followed it for my personal data.....

I never watched any Alien movies, the only thing I know about the franchise is how awful was the the Colonial Marines game (I think it was one of the fee cases where refund as accepted automatically regardless of time played). That in combination of you guys talking shit about the movies don't paint a good picture to me. Hahaha

Yeah, also much more fun for me to do it while alive... wanna have a go?
I am totally not mega horny... I promise... gotta get out and have some fun... :x xD
YES AND NOW!

Let me fill you and @kikomascado can have a snack, too!

Alien and Aliens (1st and 2nd film) are classics and really good movies, with great direction, photography and acting. No person can call himself SF fan without watching them.

What extra funny about the Colonial Marines game was it was mostly fixed by a modder who found a spelling error in the code.

I still watch Alien every now and then when I'm doing something that allows for something in the background.
It still holds pretty good by today standards. It's not Jurassic park, but still.

I would say I have tepid interest. I don't get hyped for games anymore really, other than full releases of games I've already played and enjoyed in Early Access. I'll throw it on my wishlist and if people say it isn't a shitshow port I might pick it up when it goes on sale and the mods have come out.

I've worked at a place where tapes were the go-to, they had a ton of data that had regulatory requirements for storing for decades though. I have a backup external HDD but honestly there just isn't anything I keep on my computer that I'm that concerned about losing, the most valuable things are my porn game saves :ROFLMAO:

There was an Alien v Predator game that was pretty good, at least for when it came out. It was cool because you could play as humans, aliens or predators and they all had different abilities and movement styles.

This is very important to remember. For the people that are fossils like me, I know that many of us used to have many hundreds of burned CDs or DVDs of "goodies" . I would not be surprised if 10-20% of my discs are no longer functional... and if any of you have LaserDiscs laying around (showing my age here! :ROFLMAO: ) those things are toast

I have to play that!
I spent lots of years avoiding all that were HS or HS2 because all the ones that I've tried were shit, but since I saw so many people praising One in a Lifetime I decided to give a try and loved it. Then I went to Eternum and Pale Carnation and I figured I was wrong. Mist is on my list ever since, but didn't got to play it yet.
I'd say its worth it (thats coming from a guy thats not usually into VN)
hentai.tv has it, too.
Ah thanks, thats good to know
