So, here’s the thing... Or my take, at least, for what it’s worth.

In an absolutely ideal world, without prejudice, with full equality—anyone can play anyone. Unless their race, gender, or sexuality is a defining part of their characteristics and story. Anyone can play anyone. Tom Hanks playing MLK, I know, was just an extreme example, but it’s a good example of what I think still wouldn’t work—since being Black was a very important part of MLK’s history—but most other changes could work and wouldn’t matter in the slightest. Let’s have a female Einstein and a white Denzel Washington biopic.

The same applies to the the historical figures that I mentioned, every one played a military or political major role in their respective country or nation and to change them would miss the whole point of who they were and what they did, as I had already mentioned they were historical figures.

We don’t live in a world without prejudice and with full equality. We live in a world that has, for many years, been built off stolen labour and the dismissal, and outright erasure, of minority groups.

That is why casting Black actors in "white" roles is fine, whereas the reverse isn’t—because there are far fewer "Black" roles and far fewer "Black" opportunities, whereas "white" is most people’s "normal." When you think of a fictional character in a movie and not an anime/game, most people think of a white male. So putting more white people in, when it should be a Black, or Latin, or Filipino, or Gay, or Trans, or any other character, is just taking away an already limited option from an already marginalised group of people.

What you're saying is stupid on both sides, is really just the difference between Equality and Equity.

I admit than in a non historical settings, like cómics and videogames changes like you mentioned could be made to give more opportunities to other ethnic groups, but if they stay away of political rantings and focus on making a good game/movie/series.

However, taking for example Cleopatra that was advertised as "historically accurate" and then they proceeded to make the opossite ruins the whole point, as I remember that there was a lot of Egyptians complaining about it, saying that they were being stolen of their identity in favor to push a political agenda.

We only need to look to Stardew Valley. My absolute favourite success story. Concerned Ape deserves all the wealth that comes to him.

I'm disappointed in the 'game graphics' to 'fun' scale.
On one hand you have Senua's Saga and Starfield. Ultra beautiful and just as boring.

Borders have been crossed from the moment we started moving around this planet.
And let's use your Julias Ceasar example - the Romans didn't really have a concept of "Race" so much as they had a concept of "Culture". People were often identified by their place of origin, language, customs, or religion rather than by physical characteristics alone. Compare that to our idea of Race now. Where, a Black American, is treated differently than just "an American".
So, the ideal person to play Julias Ceasar is... Someone of Roman Culture...

The reason I used Martin Luther King as an example, is because the great bredth of his story and lifes work was related to the colour of his skin and the treatment of the ethnic minority surrounding him. A minority that was fresh out of slavery and still dealing with the ramifaction of having very few rights and very poor standards of living. Being black was important in this context.

For someone like Julias Ceasar, being Black, doesn't matter.
He can BE Black, just like he can be any other shade under the sun, it doesn't matter to who Julias Ceasar was.

The "Historically Accurate" Cleopatra was panned by everyone. It was widely regarded as an absolutely shockingly shit move and just part of Smiths ongoing delusion she calls a life. Smith was trying to push an agenda, I agree, it was part of her own, imagined, personal Black Empowerment, but even Black Critics disowned it. Smith is just a complete and utter idiot.
