Dynamic moves are always difficult and more time costly.
If your character moves at an angle, you need to micro rotate and the link can move or switch. If the character moves forward or backward, the image size needs to be adjusted manually.

The superhero team walking literally took me maybe 3-4 minutes max. But I've had other gifs that were a nightmare and that I eventually just accepted would have a bit of a crappy part because everything else would be insane.

Bottom right zoom into screen took me easily 30 min, multiple tries, still isn't really good, and pretty much drove me temporarily insane.
By comparison, the wiggling Underlord was almost easy, just frame by frame rotation adjustments.

So don't be dishearted, just keep trying, keep practising and don't be discouraged by difficult gifs like the one you picked.
The most important thing is that you're having fun.
