I feel like there's been a lot of upheaval here in the last year, not just the recent AI kerfuffle.

I can't say for sure since I started here kinda recently, but having to reorganize the site, removing posts, etc... whenever panic mode happens probly affects those numbers.

Then on top of that are people either not happy with changes (like whenever the mem+ LC started) or just avoiding sites in the hot spot.

Yeah I'm aware of the issues concerning the game content on this site, but that's also why a lot of people are on this site as opposed to the alternatives. People don't like to take medicine (most people), but they still do it because it helps them. Member+ may be a hard pill to swallow for some, but it helps in the long run and if you have issue getting enough LC to get Member+ well you're not really active regardless and chances are don't really "need" it either.

I understand why they did it, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating and I know personally I didn't log on here for quite a while after the change. Regardless of the intention it creates a barrier that alienates people and makes them feel left out.

Sure and there are plenty of people that would take a Tesla over their beat up Ford, but unless you buy the Tesla you're not a Tesla customer now are you? There's a difference between existing and being a member.
