I can't speak for everybody, but I know I've cut *waaaay* back on making images, and am not really posting much of anything until everything get settle behind the scenes. The image threads are still mostly intact behind P4, but mods will be going through them to nuke pics that don't meet the new rules, so I'm waiting to see what's left once they're done, so I know exactly where the line is. I'm participating less too, since I can't hand out my goblins anymore

Reading @Slumdum's morning write up and became aware of this message and wanted to reply too.
I'm in exactly the same boat. I haven't created anything in a week or so and I'm participating a lot less. I'm trying to do my daily "Hey here I am!" kind of shtick, but I ultimately just slink away again without saying bye. Things just feel a little sour right now. And one thing I think people, perhaps even the Mods/Admin, are overlooking is that those AI Pics created a lot of our engangement - not just sharing them, but talking about them, creating memes from them, creating identites about them. You had your Goblins, @-Bonk- had Bonkettes, @DoverDad made a name for himself as a Pig Merger, @Bloodheart made those sexy, sexy eldritch abominations. I could go on and on. It felt like so much personality was stripped away in an instant. To the point where Avatars are no longer recognisable, old Gifs can't be used. It just doesn't feel like home anymore. I just kind of feel uncomfortable... And sometimes a discussion arises, that I get my teeth into, and I'm "back" again for a bit... But, ultimately, that sour feeling returns once more.

In totally, 100% unrelated news, I wonder if Perchance saw a decrease in traffic recently!

Haven't stopped making pictures though.
Will wait a week or so and see what happens with AI.
The only reason I'm here lurking around is because of some brave people who do what they can to keep this thread fun to read and comment from time to time.

When I checked for articles, I think they said the last double brood was in 2015. I'm down in Texas and have lived in a few areas of the State - we always have many each summer and usually at least two types (large green and small brown). I'll occasionally catch one in its emergence phase, crawling up the leg of my deck or my garage and coming out of its shell. I remember them when I lived in the mid-US for a few years, but they didn't seem as numerous. Of course, I was in a newly built subdivision and the bigger trees were further away. The house I'm in now is about 50 years old with several types of oaks, pines, pecans, crepe myrtles, magnolias (those are just the one's on my property) and other trees of a similar age all about, so we constantly have and hear them.

Still annoyin' lil batstards. AND loud as shit.

Honestly, the more as time goes on, the more I suspect @kuro_katana and @Underlord are one in the same... @Nebula Knight was a distraction from the REAL Second Underlord.

I, honestly, cannot believe how much time it takes OR how many different one's y'all have made...it is mind-boggling. BUT it's sweet, so...

Honestly, the more as time goes on, the more I suspect @kuro_katana and @Underlord are one in the same... @Nebula Knight was a distraction from the REAL Second Underlord.

Kinda sorta, although (after back-reading both threads) Underlord wasn't terribly sympathetic about the loss of AI as the rest of us. I mean look at the artists that have already bailed and/or nuked their stuff (to give it a humane burial) before the Mods had to euthanize them. It's rough, but at least y'all seem to look out for one another. AND who knows maybe some of the restrictions will be lifted after a bit and things might equalize- even a little. Fingers crossed.
