I feel ya'. I have apnea and a very active brain. After I was diagnosed, for about a month I got the best sleep of my life and fell asleep fast. After I "caught up" my brain went "oh - you're okay now - OVERDRIVE!!!!!!!"

I'm in the US Central time zone. You'll see me here sometimes until 3am my time simply because my brain won't shut down and lying in bed only makes it worse. Sometimes two fingers and some reading will speed things along, but can't rely on that.
I know that feeling. Used to be real bad for me where I was literally up to 5 or 6 when I had to be up by 7.
Just lying awake, thoughts racing, spiraling, chasing each other - then the glance at the clock and the "I need to go to sleep" thought hammering into the skull.
Sometimes days with no sleep, completely exhausted, but just couldn't fall asleep. If I tried, lightning bolt through the body, instantly awake.
My worst record was somewhere between 72 - 96 hours without sleep. Time got completely muddled in my head, everything was an irritant, just 3-4 days of no sleep.

Have you ever goon to a sleep therapist? Are things better for you now?

Always love The Muppets, even watched the weird 30Rock/Office Muppet show on ABC.
"Watched", as in past-tense? When was it on/did it air? I cannot say that I ever heard of it. The last "new" thing I remember was "Muppets Tonight"- that weird talk show one... ;)

I'm never gonna live down this joke am I.....

Close, but I have no desire to be someone elses problem, I just want a night of fucking oblivion.
And no, I won;t take a sleeping pill. I did that once. Once. It affected my body, but my brain didn;t stop spinning, so I was awakr but trapped in a barely responsive body. I wouldn't wish that on myh worst enemy and will not risk it happening again.

BUT would you wish it on the fuck-knuckle that snitched on the site? 🤣

The Muppets are amazing!!! They did the best version of Treasure Island you can find anywhere along with Tim Curry, who voiced Long John Silver. (Fun fact, he also voiced Captain Hook on Peter Pan and the Pirates.)

The also do the best version of Jabberwocky ever recorded! I also understand that they had an in-house cooking show!

Night Sil, have some depraved dreams and a glazed awakening.

Good Night Sleep Well GIF

not sure if i have any sleep disorders, but i've never quite learned how to fall asleep in a reasonable amount of time, sometimes laying in bed shuffling for a hour or more before sleep claims me, whereas the rest of my family seem to pass out the moment they touch their beds
at least i still tend to get upwards of 9 hours of sleep each night

Just for the apnea - have used a CPAP for nearly 20 years now. The odd thing is that, with the machine, it seems that my body actually gets to a point of "sleep" but the brain is still active. I once watched a movie with a friend of mine - saw the whole thing - but they told me I was snoring and thought I was asleep. It's a weird thing. Tried different "techniques" to bring my mind to rest, but they never work long. If I rotate through different things, that seems to help.

If @Silwith sees that, he'll tell you that's a far cry from dirty.
That's kind, gentle and caring.

Well, in that case, recognizing my debt for present and past crimes, it's only reasonable I fulfill the payment method and hand this back to you for sleep-keeping:

Just, sssssh, don't tell him.
