Gonna concur with the ideas so far. if its a temorary clone like merges back in then not NTR.. if its a seperate entity that is its own person then NTR.

I'm a very deep thinker on this subject, so I could say a lot, but I don't want to get into anything heavy with anyone, lot of heightened emotions around this topic lol. I like the ideas that everyone has come up with like if it has a conscience then it would be NTR, but if the MC is controlling and feeling what it feels then it is not. I personally would view it as NTR and could not enjoy the game that introduced it. I am also not a fan of sharing partners and I can also see how it would be the same thing or at least would sour my enjoyment of said game.

If the clone had a conscience and was independent of the original (you) then I would say it would be incest. I think it is more like a brother or sister that is closely related to you like an identical twin. The clone would be you, but it is also not you. I'm thinking around the lines of you are not feeling what they are feeling so its not masturbation, but having sex with something that is identical to you is more like having sex with your identical twin that may be the same or different sex.

Hi there. Just gathering opinions on the title question. If there are clones or copies of the protagonist in a game and the clone(s) have sex with a love interest, does it count as NTR? My thinking is that if the clone is independent of the MC and can act autonomously then it's yes. On the other hand if the clone is created by the MC and is basically an extension of his will (think shadow clones form Naruto) then it's a no.

I'm mostly interested in this as a way to have gangbangs in a harem game while still having the MC be the only male with access to the harem. Thoughts?

I think you are correct in that it all depends on the autonomy of the clones.
Though where the line goes I do not know.

Unless the MC is controlling and feeling the action it is NTR. From a character bonding perspective, even if the MC can take over another character to share intimate moments with a LI, that would border on NTR as well, since the LI is bonding with another character in physical appearance and would not recognize the MC as the one in the interaction.


From a game perspective, I would play a game where the MC can take over other people's bodies for sex, and not bother too much with the bonding aspect, since most games would make this work out anyway.

So I'm a long-time lurker at both the other site and here. The Merbers+ thing finally got me posting and actually reading threads and I fell deep into the NTR/no NTR well. My other hobby is evolutionary biology and it got me thinking about whether there might be an evolutionary element to why folks hate or love NTR, along with a bunch of other kinks (the most obvious of which is the kink the differentiates this site from the other).

If I were to post an anonymous survey about which kinks are turn-ons and which are turn-offs, do you think folks would respond honestly? I have a theory about why certain kinks are preferred by certain folks and having some actual data would be a nice boost to my ability to publish.

(To be clear, I haven't talked to the moderators about whether they would even allow a survey to be posted, but wanted to get a sense of the community as to whether there would be any interest.)
