For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward. I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward. - Jack Of Blades

Do ratings affect whether you download a game?

Just check tags and likes not ratings because people can be very critical

I don't care if people like the content or not - we all have our own opinions. So I mainly check for things like, how buggy it is

I don't pay much attention to the ratings I prefer to read the reviews and see what people are saying about bugs. As long as there isn't to may complaints of bugs I'll give it a shot and figure out the rest for myself.

Nha, I just look just the tags and the screenshots. Rating are overrated. A game can have bad ratings just because. If there is even a hint of an unpopular tag (like NTR), many people just give bad ratings, even if said tag is just 1 scene or lesser plot point.

Tags and preview images are more important to me. I have a pretty high tolerance for jank.

Ratings are pretty useless, i just go by tags, discription, screenshots and if i am still undecided i read some comments.

tbh i just check the tags and previews usually, never look at the rating.

Indirectly. The reviews will cause me to skip a game, but if a game sounds good I only bother to check the reviews if it has a crappy rating. If it's 4+ stars I generally just go right to download, since I kinda know already what I'll see in the reviews.
On the other hand, sometimes a game sounds interesting to me but has crap for stars, but when i check the review the hate is because of taste issues that aren't a problem for me (stuff like "I can't rename the MC! Oh no mah immersions!") I'll check it out anyway.
I've also found a few games that had bad scores because the dev thought grind was good, but using a plugin to speed things along made it into a really fun game (Superpowered comes to mind).

Cover art looks dope/ sexy/ boner inducing? click.
Tags turn me on? click.
Summary intrigues... proceed to preview pics... click.

Not really if I don't like it I can always just delete it so no harm really

Ratings on sites like this? No. Because they are basically always fake.

Rating on a site like Steam? Yes. Those can influence my decision.

I never look at the ratings lol but if it's not 4-5 stars then I'd be concerned

On the other site very much so because they're very prominent but here I have to click to see them so not as much.

Absolutely. Good games can have slow starts, but there are so many games that never get devloped past that point. Its easy to waste 2-3 h on game that never goes anywhere and reviews help me manage that.
yes, if a game has "fucking my loli" as plot, and the reviews complain that there's no content yet, it helps a lot

More than ratings, I read reviews and check the number of views.

I llok at the tags first, then the preview pictures. For low ratings, I read the comments, with the caveat that new games wont get a rating yet.
Often, if a game appeals at first sight, I'll try it and form my own opinion.

Not really no. Description and screenshots/game video weigh higher for me.

I no longer take the ratings too seriously after seeing what some people mean by 5 stars.
If I'm not sure, I prefer to read a few comments, but I usually download almost everything if I like the tags.
