Other than that and in light of recent events in the vn community I'm also considering if/how I can change my current game to not be misinterpreted and still be true to my vision for it.
I have been working some (some weekends, when I can prioritize my time) on the next version but I'm still in the dilemma of the above statement, not sure yet how to proceed - adjust (if so, how?), remake (if so, how?), new game (if so, what?). This is a passion project so I don't really want to leave it or change it too much.

Yeah, reading this (from the dev's SS page) makes me think that if we are getting an update for this game ever again, it is either going to be butchered (like "Corrupted Love" was) or all the "smol" characters are going to be aged-up.

Either way, it is going to be a sad day for all of those (like me) who liked the game.

Sigh, fucking devs running scared and taking the lolis out of their games because of what happened to Westy is getting old. Self-censorship really is the most effective kind.

It's understandable, though, at least for those devs like RIC0H who live in places where the pixel police are all too eager to bust those nefarious pixel molesters rather than go after real human traffickers, who are scary people.

It's absolutely sickening the way these police fucks lionize themselves for destroying a guy who made a harmless fucking game with harmless fucking DAZ renders. Yeah, real heroes, you cowardly cocksuckers. Go out and fight some real crime, why don't ya?

Sure, assuming the game is set in a modern Western democracy. Which I'm not sure this one is, even if it looks like the U.S./Europe. Seems more like an alternate universe (and not just because of the superpowers). And in places where people are used to surviving under oppressive, unaccountable, totalitarian regimes, something like this might indeed be possible. Think about how China is able to slowly destroy the Uighir people with minimal public and not much more international outcry (which they infamously don't give a fuck about anyway), not to mention disappear/harvest its own citizens for organ transplants. I think @ramvivat has mentioned (either here or on F95) having grown up in the Soviet Union, so I'll summon him to this thread to get his input. Any other folks with experience living under state oppression please feel free to chime in. (And please note, Lefty, that I'm not attacking you at all - in most situations I would agree with what you wrote. I just think you may be giving humanity too much credit.)

I share your sentiment about not wanting the game's content to get censored. As I like the game quite a lot too. Mostly due to the stuff/characters, that are under threat now.

But! Dev may decide upon a way less censorful decision. Unless he lives in Australia, like Westy. I mean, look at how many games are still around with similar content. Look at many alternative solutions to avoid the witch hunts (like patches made by "other, unknown people", posted on LewdPatcher or the like).

So chin up. We'll hear what's up soon enough, dev was planning a comeback around January-February, I think.

Ah yes, too many and's and not enough .'s Dunno if English is his first language but I'd think every modern language has .'s. I had a habit of writing like this, but I was excused since I was in 3rd-4th grade and didn't know appropriate use of punctuation yet. After nearly passing out a few times after the teacher made me try to read my own shit out loud to the class (taking a breath when there was no . wasn't allowed) I got the hang of it.

Nice. I'm still trying to find/make/mod various redhead ages to digitize my sis for my AVN still slowly getting worked on when I have more than few minutes free. Newborn, but those don't matter much since babies tend to look the same (no lewd scenes with that you freaks, go play BOGO, lol), 4-5yo (same deal), 10-11, 13, 14, 15-17ish, (puberty changes tend to happen fast, a year can be a huge difference), 20, 25, 30 (now I understand why Ketzal tells his with occassional flashbacks, mostly linear is a major pita if the story spans 30+ years). I guess like anything it takes practice but so far they don't even come close and look like crap (but she doesn't want me to get too close I guess when I pitched the idea to just let me 3d scan her for the 30 version and use AI filtering after Daz/Blender rendering, she basically hates the internet).

Yeah I was going to sub after 0.2 was out but after reading this, nope, and I'm surprised he even still has the 9 subs he does. If people are not in the stupid half of the world dunno why they'd trash their artistic integrity/freedom and self-censor themselves or even give a fuck. If money/promotion is the reason there's Backed.by (no rules and make whatever you want as you originally intend censorship/patch-free since it pays in crypto) and this site. Hell even F95 doesn't give a shit as long as you are willing to censor/decensor with loli patches and call everyone fake 18's for a few updates (which gets untenable after the AVN gets large enough, prob why Ketzal, Blackheart and other loli devs simply quit using them, after a few thousand subs and some fame/reputation/smaller forum and word-of-mouth promotion like here it makes little difference in income anyway).

That was more due to me not having any experience with linux so I couldn't test and/or support that release.
I've had a few requests for linux so for version 0.2 I will compile a linux version and provide as is.
Hopefully it will function as expected.

well, at least Corrupted Love's butcher job got changed back mostly. Only change that stuck was lewd lolis like April or other planned orphanage girls were removed. Sure, that still sucks, but only sucks half as bad as the previous changes that were canceled.

Yeah after the abandoned tag is on it should take an actual new release to get it removed. SS promises/statements are just that, possibly empty promises. I would say he's just trying to stall hemoraging subs but with only 8 at this point that's doubtful. It's been a year, AVNs tend to lose their momentum as far as sub numbers after 3-4 months even with initial positive reviews, and then it tends to end up in the position of hardly any subs at all between releases (almost no one wants to pay 12 times for one update).

He took a coding course and he's been very open about that, he told people to unsubscribe if they wish and provided a couple updates as to his progress in the course before the last one saying he was back to working on the game. Don't baselessly speculate about dev's motivations without referring to actual context/information.
