Do ratings affect whether you download a game?

well everyone knows whos with games for a while that most ratings are shit, ppl complaining about something that is not ingame (even tho there are no tags for it) or what ever.
unless there is no info about game then i check it otherwise myself dont really bother with them.
i prefer to read the threads and decide for myself.

The rating is the second thing what I check (tags are the first). The rating under 3 is not an accident.

I do use ratings as a filter, but I also check tags and description. I have enjoyed some games that has been panned rating-wise.

Yes, but not always.. the previews affect the same, if the renders are poor quality, grained and/or "dark", thats also a pass

I usually try to check and see why the ratings are low before writing it off. Many people have different tastes than me (I like sandbox games, even somewhat grindy ones, so the ratings on games that I like tend to be lower than they otherwise might). That said, the rating can be a tiebreaker if I'm iffy based on everything else I can find out about it.

Ratings rarely sway me on a game as I don't trust most peoples opinion

Ratings for the first pass. I'll read reviews next. Not all positive reviews is a greenlight for me. I'm more on narrative but porn focus games tend to have glowing reviews.

I think I have very rarely paid attention to the rating, and that is because I prefer to try the game first and draw my own conclusions. Anyway, I have to admit that my opinion, after playing, sometimes ends up getting close to those ratings, but that is not always the case.

Or close to it on the other site. Like the no sex after years games.
Can't remember the name of the game but it opened with like "We are a story driven game so don't expect quick sex" has been in development for 5 years only like 2 scenes like bro how damn slow are we going and it had like 4.5 stars. Story was fine but if I want story I wouldn't be on a pornsite.

I often notice if it has a shitty rating and look why.

I check a tags first, then the quality of the renders previews, and finally rating.

I almost never look at ratings, I start with tags and previews and if I'm still interested I'll read the description. I only really read comments prior to downloading if I'm still not sure what the game's format is.

Whether it has a good or bad rating, I usually read reviews of varying scores to try and get a clearer image of what to expect. I would say the reviews may affect my decision, rather than the rating itself.

I don't care about ratings and comments. If the previews, synopses and tags catch my attention, I download them and see what happens. The vast majority of reviews are purely subjective and I'm very open-minded with my tastes, which means that various popular opinions (hate for NTR for example) don't affect me.

The only type of evaluation that could stop me from downloading a game would be complaints about the gameplay or game malfunctions (many crashes and bugs).

Sometimes yeah. I think if theres like no reviews and very few comments then maybe its not a very popular or interesting game. I have though gone against that a couple times if the description of the game sounds really good or the pictures make it look fun. I guess my answer wasn't much help lol😅
