I think you can. In the school hall way during LI intros you can include them or not irrc when asked about Eden (though I kinda got trapped at that point as I didn't know she had a dick). My fav solution is simply chose the gender of those types of LI's when they are intro'd: girl, femboy, futa, etc. though that can multiply the work load (3 genders = 3x the lewd renders with them).

I usually don't comment too much but after reading through the comments I feel like I want to get my thought out.

First of all, I remember playing the first chapter, which is great, but missed the release of the second one. Not that it matters now.

But anyway, I this story does indeed get crazy and it started getting more like it in chapter 2. Chapter 3 just went with what had started and made it into a good story. Even though I was thinking, what's happening, I couldn't stop continuing because the story is really good written. There is some real comedy written in and also has some funny jokes that have not really much to do with the story.

Thank you for this great game and update, can't wait to see more. I feel like I want to play malignant again and look at it in a new light now.

The only girl I want in this game is Kristy. At least the little sister is beautiful despite her scars. Unfortunately, Deaufosse has a fetish for ugly girls and kinks that I despise, and wants to force them on everyone. This is the most intolerant game I've ever had the misfortune to play. No girl is allowed to be pretty here, if you are, either your head is literally kicked off your body, or just beaten to a pulp and then blown up or eaten by a dinosaur. Eden is not a girl, he's a boy being lied to by everyone around him. And no matter how you feel about it, you're forced to suck his dick, or be lectured incessantly about how evil you are (unless you recode to skip his scenes). According to this game, being a straight white male is the worst possible thing to be. As I said, the intolerance of this game is off the charts.

I downloaded it and thought it would come with the correct ages, but it still says "18 years old" with the lolis, how does that change?
Did I miss the option to change? because I skipped it but it usually stops when I have to type text

To be honest, I was really looking forward to this. Unfortunately, the latest update is not to my taste. I really liked the humour, but now it's too weird for me. This sudden change to extremely chaotic, including T-Rex and Terminator... I don't know what to make of it. Too bad, that's it for me.

Hey, Terminators and getting chased by T-rex's can be funny. But yeah although those and Jeff Epstein being an LI's dad were funny they were also kinda out of place in a story about an MC and his sis surviving a car wreck and dealing with the aftermath of that. Lets hope the next Malignant updates are a but more, umm, consistent? I think that's the word I'm looking for, as unlikely as that is about an MC with tumor-induced nightmares and hallucinations. I think the crazy/funny parts were the devs therapy/break from making Malignant, since apparently working on the dark paths of a generally dark AVN tend to put you in a dark mood, even when away from the PC (which makes me wonder if Stephen King moonlights as a serial killer but just never gets caught since almost half of US murders are never solved, let alone classified as serial).

You are asked early on how old Alex (the main character) is. Sasha is the same age as him (presumably, so are Eden and Laurie). Christy is 3 years younger than Alex, and Mia is the same age as Christy.

If you select new game you will be asked at the beginning and given the choice to start a particular chapter.

No, I distinctly remember it being a slice of life with nothing weird going on whatsoever. This Willem Dafoe thing, T-Rexes and time travel bullshit just came outta nowhere.


I'm taking it as a sign that after two years, these people remember the interpersonal relationships the most, which is a good thing, I guess.

Well ol' Doofus here continues to be a genius of writing and comedy in VN game design. Is this really over the top? Sure, but its more of a flex than anything when he still nails the more poignant points.

Honestly, if I had to force a complaint for all of Deaufosse's work, its that the elevation of the genre does not serve the primary focus of the genre, and Deaufosse does it intentionally. IE "A wank" specifically an "18-year-old-don't-pick-your-age wank" is not at all served by complexities and nuanced emotions introduced by these stories... (I opine more on this specifically for Malignant which does this more maliciously... alliteration) I'd go further to say that in the case of Burned, the aforementioned story complexities are not well-served by even attempting to insert "wank" content. Basically burned would work as an actual coming-of-age French movie that *mostly* cuts the bedroom parts.

So yea, I guess I'll conclude this part 2 pseudo review with: Sure its extremely well made and frankly the best VN content there is, but it is genius that Deaufosse is intentionally misapplying... which is kinda also the point. 10/10 would not wank again.

PS - I know it is kinda against your ethos at this point, but it would be interesting to see if, after completing Burned & Malignant, you could work on two more projects that are diametrically opposed: one with all the feels, emotional story-telling, complex relationships, etc. and another that is just as hot as you can make a well-paced, comedic, raunchy VN. That way at least I can cry then wank or vice-versa rather than discovering tears are the worst lubricant.
