Oof... I don't want to be harsh because obviously this update took a lot of work. However, 0.3 isn't in the same league as the previous two releases by an incredible margin. 0.1 and 0.2 were able to balance some serious stuff with porn and comedy. The 4th wall breaks were there, but they were short and didn't really interfere with the sex scenes. 0.3 has lost that balance and the experience is overall poorer because of it.

Burned already had good comedic moments and witty dialogue, throwing all that away for slapstick scenes with a time traveling T-Rex comes off as completely tone deaf (not to mention it straight up isn't funny). The most grave error is the sexual content being interrupted by irrelevant stuff. Remember how the Pearl Harbor movie "missed the point", yeah splicing in slapstick scenes either during sex scenes is that kind of mistake in spades. It feels almost as if 0.3 was a April Fool's update and not meant to be canon or taken seriously in any way. Even if that was the case, it still wouldn't have been a enjoyable ride.

Who is the audience for this game supposed to be now?

Not the people who liked the previous style of comedy. That's barely there anymore.

Not the people who enjoyed the existing story and character dynamics. Those have been sidelined.

Not the people who were here for the porn and stayed for the plot, nor for those just looking to fap. Interruptions and excessively bizarre cutaways kills the mood.

I've seen many games go through large transitions but, regardless if there is a major change (like a new art style or some other contentious content), the quality is usually similar or improved. However, this release of Burned is perhaps the most amazing swan dive into a titanium plate I've ever seen any adult game take. What was once a game that was far more than the sum of its parts, is now a smashed together pile of conflicting ideas.

If I'm being 100% honest, I'd rather watch Burned get the Abandoned tag than see more updates like this destroy what was shaping up to be a fun, sexy, and quality game. The only real complaint I had about previous versions was a lot of the renders had clipping errors. Otherwise, high praise. Now though? Yikes.

Uhh... Did you play the same V.2 I did?

Let me refresh your memory: It opened with Mia riding a T-Rex and shooting demons, Sasha eating out Ellie from TLOU, and Eden yelling at Baby Hitler.
There's an entire dissertation on centaur porn in the middle of class. I also seem to recall a Morgan getting decapitated and drop-kicked into the other bitch. Also Willem Dafoe shaming you for skipping the trans content. The whole thing was packed full of meta jokes about visual novels, political jokes about LGBTQ, wokeness, and the war on wokeness. There's a random cutaway where I take a shit on F95 for no reason other than why the fuck not? Then, to cap it all off, it ends with MC getting hypnotized by tits, where he meets his sister from the future who's high as balls on time-travel party drugs. It's then established that the MC is cyborg in the future, and Kristy is a Congresswoman in the reconstituted United States of America, of which the MC is basically their General George Washington. Oh, and the final scene is Mia's daughter meeting a T-Rex in 65 million BC.

Dude, this game went off the rails a long time ago, and the tender moments are still there. The interpersonal interactions between MC, Kristy, Eden, and Sasha are the same as they ever were.

Been lurking on this site for quite some time. Never had reason enough to comment.

This update is clever, funny, and the best kind of bizarre. I enjoy the porn elements, but a couple of scenes had me laughing out loud, literally, including G.R.O.O.M. and the Lilith scene. Also impressed with the sincerity of the development between MC and his sister.

I see people bitching about this update. Ignore 'em. This is good, good work.

Holy shit man, that was amazing! It was batshit crazy and delightfully funny, while still being a well written story with developed characters and some heavy topics. I don't know how you pulled off that combination, but bravo! I absolutely loved it. I've never laughed so much at an AVN. Exactly my kind of dark, but silly humor.

Don't listen to any of these chucklefucks saying you need to tone things down. This was unique and wild, but it was a really fun ride and I was sad when it was over. Hope we don't have to wait another year for more, but even if we do, I'll be patiently waiting. It's clear how much effort you put into your games.

Was this what I expected? Certainly not. But it definitely wasn't meaningless insanity as some commenters here claim. All the time-travel shenanigans and all the memes support the character development. Alex, Christy and Sasha keep learning more about who they are and who they want to be; and that part feels very genuine to me.

Also, the insanity isn't nearly as chaotic as it may seem at first. There is clear world-building in here. Also, I just want to applaude the commitment: It would have been so easy to either retcon the decapitation of queen bitch or have her never appear again. But to show her with her head sewed back on? Kudos!.

The tag "Shota" should be added here. And if there is a tag Shota/Loli only it should be added. Without the Shota tag it makes it seem as if the male protagonist is older or that one that is older will be introduced.

Unfortunately, Deaufosse has a fetish for ugly girls and kinks that I despise, and wants to force them on everyone. This is the most intolerant game I've ever had the misfortune to play. No girl is allowed to be pretty here, if you are, either your head is literally kicked off your body, or just beaten to a pulp and then blown up or eaten by a dinosaur. Eden is not a girl, he's a boy being lied to by everyone around him. And no matter how you feel about it, you're forced to suck his dick, or be lectured incessantly about how evil you are (unless you recode to skip his scenes). According to this game, being a straight white male is the worst possible thing to be. As I said, the intolerance of this game is off the charts.

Well the legal arguments against it spring from consent (ie does consent count if a daughter gives it to her dad, that if he's an asshole may dock her allowance or kick her out of the house if she doesn't agree?) and the slightly increased possibility of contaminating the gene pool with new genetic diseases if they reproduce. But by that argument to me you might as well outlaw ugly people fucking (social media voting on whether someone is legally deemed ugly or not), because it increases the odds of more defective ugly people being born (that in many ways have a shittier life than a mother/son's baby that simply ended up with hemophilia or similar-symptom disease but is otherwise fine). Those 2 logical reasons are probably why sibling incest is legal while f/d incest is not, at least in Ohio (between siblings there's usually no power dynamic to consider, and the odds of genetic diseases are generally blown way out of proportion when in reality the odds of a defective kid goes from ~2% for vanilla to ~4% for siblings, at least considering all genetic diseases known to science and not counting the ones not discovered yet, so by those numbers me and my sis would have to have 25 kids on average for one of them to have high odds of being a dud, no thanks, 6 is enough). So where's the victim if 2 consenting siblings wanna fuck but not have kids? That's why to me no pregnancy = no incest. Not reproducing kinda kills the legal argument against sibling incest in those states that have such Owellian laws. IRRC I think even Albert Einstein had 2 kids with his cousin, and I don't remember him getting arrested or even ostracized for it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. Granted MC's friends aren't your typical beach-babe bimbos like most AVN LIs and look like your typical short-haired punk rocker chick, but they still have nice bodies and I'd still fuck them if they were DTF and I was single. Not sure if tech reasons are why but hair can be hard to deal with in Daz so maybe he just used all short-haired models as a simple solution. Even Kristy's hair isn't that long.
