I'm personally indifferent, such a thing exists, like it - play it, don't like it - don't play it. Battles around NTR only amuse me, it's funny to watch them from the outside.
Although in real life it happens much more often than in the semi-fantasy worlds of XXX games and VN (and all these games - urban fantasy, to the realities of life they have no connection). How one can be jealous of one digital character to another similar set of pixels on the monitor screen is beyond my comprehension. I just never took all these games seriously.

Cheating, sharing, stealing cucking, whatever. That way there is no arguing about what kind it is. Still won't fix the stupid bickering over it, but we'd know what kind of it a game contains.

That's true, being more specific in this case will definitely help more.

But you don't form any attachments, MC does. Why insert yourself into the story, you can just enjoy it like a book or movie. You don't have to pretend everything in the game happens to you xD

The whole premise is all women are dumb sluts who will betray everyone for a big dick and looks don't matter.

Only good thing about the genre is some of the manga has the best drawn women.

Can be interesting. I generally like following the 'stealer', especially if there's a personal motive, outside that, I generally don't like, but the NTR can be fine, mainly if there is some kind of 'revenge' on the perpetrator within the story.

I think the only times I've ever downloaded a NTR game is if the game has a female protagonist. I personally prefer netori over NTR

I would argue that most players are in some way or other immersing themselves into the game by viewing through the protagonists' eyes. I would consider immersion and player agenda an essential part of the difference between movie and game. And if I didn't see the game through the characters' eyes, it would be equivalent to not being invested in the setting at all and thus defeat the purpose of subjecting yourself to it. If I don't care, why bother playing?

Good for you if you can just enjoy the show from a distance and feel indifferent about any possessive perceptions. But I wouldn't call that an approach as much as a trait. It's not something you simply decide on doing, but more the way you are or the way you look at things or enjoy in general. In my case this kind of detachment would only decrease my enjoyment of a game.
