The whole genre certainly has the problem that it always goes like that, yeah, but that is kinda to be expected I guess, since that is sort of the fantasy? I do remember one where the MC was confident, had a big cock himself and just confidently shared his girls without "loosing" them, don't remember which it was, but it is certainly rare, even netorase always seems to be a whimpy smol dicked guy

It depends on the story. Too many ntr content that are just boring. Even some ntr porn videos are boring. I enjoy humiliation a lot so I do put myself in mc shoes. I don't like it at all in a VN, even when it's avoidable. That means the dev is investing effort in scenes that I will not watch instead to create more content. There is the thing also that if I'm immersed in the game, the proposal sort of breaks that immersion.

Here's how I deal with NTR, and I don't think I am an anti-ntr weirdo

If the game has unavoidable NTR and advertises the fact - I skip/ignore the game, and will never support the game/dev.

If the game has avoidable NTR - I will play it casually, but will never support it with €uro's

If the game has hidden NTR or adds NTR at a later date without telling the players - I will comment on why I am ignoring/dropping it.

If a game I am supporting adds NTR - I will stop support, tell the dev why I am stopping and never support that dev again.

As a general rule, if a Dev is upfront and honest, I will silently (without posting) decide to try the game or move on without broadcasting that I am doing so.

My biggest issue with NTR is that some people define it as "any cock except the MC's" and others think that it has to be a married partner cheating. So the category is very wide, which is why transparency and descriptions are important. For some, sharing, swinging, and group sex count as NTR. LI with another woman? For some that is NTR, others its not.

NTR's biggest problem is that its become such a muddied term and so can mean anything and nothing at the same time.

It is actually kind of amusing the see the types of mental gymnastics, leaps in logic and pure copeum that some dev's will try to get a player to swallow with the whole "its not NTR because"... statement.

When the reality is that most players are saying its NTR and meaning "It's content not involving the MC that I don't like" (for whatever reason).
While the Dev's typically believe that if they can convince the player that it isn't NTR, the player will suddenly like it.

Is everything that people say is NTR, actually NTR? - No
Does that mean players should like it/support it/accept it? - No

Many Dev's are guilty of trying to add this type of content without labeling it, to avoid the hate the tag brings.
Many players are guilty of blowing things out of proportion and shitstorming harder than they need too.

It's fair (and actually useful) to say why you don't/won't support a game or to call out lies and deception.
It's not fair to constantly bitch just because you don't like something.
