Well, when you have controversial content, needs to be avoidable or a lot of people will not even give your game a chance, Even when the dev himself says that the content is avoidable and will never be unavoidable, people still complain or didn't even give the game a chance. They make it avoidable so you can choose wether to partake in it or not. It's a good choice if you want your game to have a big reach going over everybody's kink. Same way that there are some hard NTR games in which it's unavoidable and the dev doesn't care, because it's a NTR focused game. Personally I skip the majority of them, unless it has some great renders and hot bitches, but I never go on complaining about stuff I can consciously avoid

I don't play VNs for a challenge, I play it for the story. NTR just isn't my thing, neither is futa/gay/trap, which is why I avoid games that have these tags. Occasionally if the game looks good though and it mentions avoidable NTR then I might give it a try.
But I am not the kind of a person to complain about these things, because if I don't like it I can just not play it. Besides it's good that there is something for everyone.

Well it depends on, are you one of those that likes to insert them self in the MC. I would assume not.
I do immerse my self allot when I play these games. And I just don't want to watch my LI fuck somebody else.. It's just that simple for most NTR hater.

I like ntr when it's implemented as a lose condition. Meaning, you keep ignoring or being an asshole to an LI and at some point they'll just move on, and seek other people. There are some japanese games like that, but can't remember any names sadly.

Personally NTR doesnt suit me, but sometimes its tag thrown around when its not that bad, like les scenes that dont involve the mc, or when its avoidable and I just wonder if its really so bad for someone that even seeing it shortly kills it for them.
