yeah but it might happen, there are so many abandoned projects that will never have the opportunity to be completed, at least this little treasure will....someday...

The situation with westy pretty much killed the whole scene. There aren't really any new games like this coming out anymore, at least from new devs. The stuff we are getting now is pretty much all from the devs that were already creating content like this before this shit happened.

For those of you that can`t access the link, he is facing 27 charges and is still to decide whether or not to accept a deal from the prosecution. The reason its dragging out is that he was refused legal aid and had to come up with money for a lawyer. So far he has not entered a plea on any of the charges. He was granted bail again and his next hearing is 7th May

It's hard to try to be positive when they are treating the whole situation as if he had material with real kids. There are literally 0 victims, what a fucking waste of time.

If what I read is true, he also wasn't really that smart while travelling. He apparently had at least the content of Proud Father on his laptop while traveling, despite the fact that Australia is infamous for their extreme digital **** laws and prosecution.

From what I've seen they'll count things like your ability to take out a loan or sell assets as part of your ability to pay for a lawyer. Criminal justice systems are designed to get criminals convicted as cheaply as possible, they don't do very well with cases where someone might actually be innocent.

So you're saying if someone had download dozens or hundreds of pictures and videos of real life minors and was arrested for that, they would treat him like he wasn't a sex offender?

Pictures of real people like that are still just computer pixels, and you can and will be arrested for that and have a bad time in prison.
