Hi guys
Just feel this burning desire to share something with you all.
Since I return to live in Australia from Japan, I find life here is decent. However, there is a litte problem with the insects on this land. It seems the nasrasistic man haters are out to get us foreigners. If the mosquitos dont eat you alive, and those weird tiny little biting bugs don't get you.... the darn spiders will. I mean, they are literally the size of a human hand. Im sure they are sent to our homes to frighten the shit out of us because they are gnarly looking monsters. The Australia Huntsman spider. If you suffer arachnophobia stay away. Don't even think about visit because these critters will come and get you.
Now our summertime is arriving soon, these bugs and spiders will come out to hunt humans hahahaha (Ima buy a spider outfit so they think im one of them haha)

The behavior you describe is unusual. Spiders will avoid you as much as possible; in fact, you can even put them on your hand, and they won’t bite you as long as you don’t bother them.
They’re quite reluctant to bite because wasting venom is not a luxury they can afford, and they only do so in self-defense to protect their lives.
You shouldn’t have any problems with spiders; in fact, they’re natural pest controllers. If you have spiders around, you won’t have other insects.
Treat them with respect, not fear, and they won’t bother you. Get used to their presence, and they won’t be a problem, they’re actually quite timid when they sense a human’s presence.
They have poor eyesight, so they sense their surroundings through vibrations in their legs.
To everyone else: Please don't kill spiders; they're not a danger to you unless you're the size of an insect.
If you come across a spider crawling up your leg, don't panic, it will just make it nervous. Help it find another place to land (don't swat at it, it might bite you in self-defense), and it will go on its way.

As someone who’s pretty into spiders, I’d add a few nuances here.
Most spiders are indeed reluctant to bite humans, but I wouldn’t say they only bite when they’re “protecting their lives.” Bites are generally defensive responses to being restrained, squeezed, trapped against skin, or otherwise threatened. Venom is metabolically costly, so there’s no evolutionary advantage in wasting it on something they can’t realistically prey on.
Also, the “they have poor eyesight” part is species-dependent. Many spiders do have relatively poor vision, especially web-building species, and rely heavily on mechanosensation and vibrations detected by their legs and sensory hairs. But jumping spiders (Salticidae), for example, have remarkably good vision for spiders and actively use visual cues to hunt.
And spiders don't necessarily mean you’ll have “no other insects.” They can reduce insect numbers locally, but they’re predators rather than some kind of natural pest-control force field.
One other thing: if a spider is crawling on you, staying calm and gently giving it a chance to move away is sensible. But I wouldn’t guarantee that it “won’t bite” — spider behavior varies enormously between species, and individual spiders can react differently when disturbed.
So yes: spiders are generally far less interested in humans than humans are in them, but their behavior is a lot more species-specific than the usual “spiders are harmless and timid” explanation suggests.

Yes, but I never was chased by these hugs huntsman. Only one time and it was pissed as hell. I try not to kill them but I use glass jar and paper to remove them.
I am scared of them. Can't help this, and wont let them on my had or inside my bedroom. I just cant do that, but I do love them and they are very good. I only kill ones if I need to and we also have golden weavers, red backs and all kinbds of bugs and spiders. Where I am. Mostly golden weaver and huntsman and couple other, but I almost never see them. Just this one huge massive huntsman. It was scary looking thing. Sadly he had to die, but my daughter is allergic to cetain things and I couldn't get him safely.
I hat killing without reason. Sometimes there is need to prevent incidents but this is necessary. I love to see the spiders in the wild but you wont catch me messing round with them on my hand. No thanks. as for panic.... Ye4ah... i need work on that one hahaha Crawling on my body its going to die. Just cant handle that. My fear turns this way sadly.

Yeah, don't worry about it, sometimes killing is unavoidable. Spiders have personalities just like we do (I'm not kidding), I guess you ran into one that wasn't having a good day, lol

yes and some species will chase a human at times. I think huntsman are mostly dosile and it takes a lot of energy to chase and run after us, but they can and sometimes will bite us, but yes, I agree. They are kinda with different personalities. The poor huntsman I killed was a docile soul but sadly wrong place and if I could put him outside then I would but his death was final lol.
I like them because they eat mosquitos and bugs and in this apart of the country we have plenty
My fear is myself so, no spider can help that lol. I think most people kill them from fear, but yeah. They all deserve life just like all us do. some people dont lol

Look, the spiders and me, we have an agreement: They get to live in my house and eat all the critters they can get. AS LONG AS I don't have them crawling on me or around me when I'm chilling or sleeping. If that happens, they go straight to hell. Instant death by smashing.
The spiders get my full warm unfinished basement and plenty of meals for free (old house). If I had to go count the spiders in my house right now, it would probably be over 200. Cellar spiders, wolf spiders, and the little black speedy fuckers, too. Hell, I found a huge black widow last summer! (I did kill that one though, I don't need a load of black widow babies running around my pad)
If that's not enough, and they come around me, it's over.

I wish spiders would help kill ants in the spring, those those fuckers keep invading every year. The only spiders we have are the ones with long legs and tiny bodies
