been looking on and off for ages, it just never seems to surface anywhere.

If it works how it's described, something like that could be super handy. As someone with (probably) hundreds of games downloaded in a folder somewhere, it'd great to consolidate and finally go back and finish some old ass VNs I started, fell in love with, then promptly forgot about.

Random question, as someone who's hesitant about downloading software, especially anything developed for the more underground parts of the internet, what kinds of sanity checks can I do to ease my mind about the safety of the program? Obviously I can look at reviews and comments on the project, and the software itself is open-source, which cuts down on the chance of there being anything malicious, but I don't necessarily want to just trust that someone more knowledgeable than me would make a stink about something being fishy in the code (no pun intended).

you can go look at the github, is open source so you can review the code, other than that, just reviews (there a thread on the other site with way more people looking at it). Also you can try running a check at virustotal.

Ok, I'm not sure if this goes here, but I just want to rant for a bit, let it all out.

If anybody is interested is related to Terraria...

Terraria is one of my favourite games (I even prompted a couple images for the daily image threads related to it ), I have spended well over 3K hours on it, and over 1K of those was on the mod Calamity, so you can imagine how empty I'm feeling right now with the news that Calamity is dead.

Long story short, a couple years back its lead developer was ousted from the dev team because he was grooming minors on a nsfw discord. This didn't killed the mod at that time because that lead wasn't well liked by the community or the other devs, who considered that he was holding development back and that situation was the perfect chance to take him out of the team, so with a new lead at the helm, development continued... until yesterday, when they discovered that the new lead not only was aware of the previous lead's grooming discord, he participated on it, and unlike the previous one, the new lead was very respected by everyone, making the discovery even more painful.

After that discovery hell broke loose, everyone that helped with music, assets, etc, wanted their stuff taken out of the mod, development of some mods related to Calamity has ceased, and in the end the dev team decided to stop development completely.

And now it's uncertain if the mod will be deleted at some point or not. As for me, I already made a backup of the mod just in case.

Despite all that happened, I really enjoyed my time with this mod, and it was really sad watching it die in real time...

Played Calamity with Wrath of the Gods and that was enough for me, spectacular and an excellent experience, but there was other mods to play. Life is short, mod was good, NEXT!

Yeah, at the very least they confirmed that one or two devs will remain to keep the game playable on tmodloader, frozen forever on 2.2.4, so there's that, and for the record, I've never played Wrath of the Gods, but their devs announced a fully standalone upgrade to that mod, so I will wait for that to play it, I imagine they would have to do a lot of rebalancing to make it playable with vanilla Terraria gear.

Anyway, what mod would you recomend? The closest to finished, if not already finished, the better.

if 100F is too hot for you don't come to where I live.
hottest its been here this year with the humidity was 46°C i believe it was (114.8F) & in the 90% range humidity & if you over exert yourself outdoors you can die within 6 hours
