What changed?​

Latest Updates V4 is now open for everyone to test. The old V3 Latest Updates page was a standalone page. It worked, but the code, layout, design, and structure behind it were all over the place.

V4 is different. This version has been rebuilt as a proper LewdCorner XenForo addon, meaning it is better connected to the forum, cleaner to maintain, easier to improve, and much better suited for future updates.

Important note​

The “Latest Updates” link at the top of the site still goes to V3 for now.

V3 vs V4​

What V4 includes​

Feature	What it does
Cleaner update cards	Games and updates are displayed in a cleaner card/grid layout with better badges, stats, images, versions, and update info.
Better filters	Browse by category, tier, platform, date, tags, status, engine/render style, and more.
Bookmarks	Save updates you care about, add bookmark notes, save versions, and track when something has updated since you bookmarked it.
Hidden/Ignored games	Hide games you do not want to keep seeing in your own browsing view.
Hide developers and tags	Clean up your browsing even more by hiding specific developers or tags.
Recommended view	A better discovery mode for finding updates instead of only searching manually.
Custom display options	Adjust things like card density, card stats, developer display, image counter, animations, and layout behavior.
Mobile friendly	The new layout was built to work properly on phones, tablets, and desktop.
Better XenForo integration	The page is now part of LewdCorner as an addon instead of being a loose standalone page.

This is still a public beta​

This version is now public, but it is still being tested. There may still be bugs, weird spacing, broken cards, wrong counts, filter issues, mobile issues, or things that need more polish.

Please report issues like:​

• Filters not working correctly
• Cards looking broken
• Images missing or loading wrong
• Bookmark issues
• Hidden/Ignored list issues
• Hidden developer or hidden tag issues
• Mobile layout problems
• Wrong update dates
• Anything confusing, ugly, or annoying to use

If you find something broken, reply here with what happened. Screenshots help a lot.

It was slow to load but once it did, it didn't slow scrolling like the stand-alone update page. When you click the next button it loads the next page but doesn't return you to the top of the next page. I am using the latest version of Firefox with ublock disabled for this site.

Having a lot of problems on the Latest Updates. If I add filters like only completed games and no visual/kinetic novels I only see 4 games returned. Might be related to the date or only new settings, as toggling only new in the last 7 days actually returns more games than without them on. Then changing the sort order causes different amounts of games to appear.

Proper XenForo public route with a JSON endpoint

Old one had both RSS and JSON endpoint, what would the new API endpoint be?

Also:
- Viewing all tags is a bit wonky to view
- When you hover over a game it doesn't exactly look smooth ()

- The date shown should just be moved to the bottom row on the far right (would look better and save space)

- Also the images shown on the page is a bit pixelated / Not shown to the quality that they are.
- I'd most likely move around the stats shown (Views, Likes, Messages, Rating(does rating even show yet?))

I welcome the work to make the search more useful and I like the overall speed when changing filters.

However the filter section is not nice to work with. At some point you end up having 3 scrollbar areas: 1. Page, 2. Filter section, 3. Filter List. Sure you can also use keywords to narrow the list. But three nested scrollbars do not feel nice to me. Personally I would prefer to have the whole like of filter items without a scrollbar - so removing that 3rd level scrollbar.

I do agree with @Private_User69 that displaying tags feels a bit off. I would prefer to have the short list of tags to always be displayed, instead of a mouse over effect. Add the mouse over rather to the plus sign automatically showing all tags - instead of clicking it. Also there is another scrollbar coming in, when there is a long list of tags. I would prefer this to have no scrollbar at all.

Ultimately it probably boils down to some UI/UX tweaking - which in my experience usually is the most tedious part ;-)
