No issues with it, especially if it serves a purpose from a story/plot perspective. If you think about it, it would be kind of weird if a male MC has no male friends.

Well, everybody needs a friend right? And without a harem choice, which would be the case if emulating real life or having a deep story (not everyone is okay sharing you), a friend can be a blessing. We can do so much alone and a friend can add to what we can do, together.

i played Eternum and it has a best friend character which is done pretty well. he helps in pushing the plot forward, has his own girl and the interactions between the MC and the friend are pretty fun. so yeah i like them. having them adds that extra oomph to the story

If done right the archetypal male best friend is fine. But in most games he feels like the third wheel and superfluous to the story. It is hoes before bros in the AVN world

To be honest i pretty much hate every other male in the story... I just want them all to my self.. No sharing

I like sharing, so a male BF, or even a few, sharing each others mothers, sisters, doing gangbangs etc. is something I'm interested in when it comes to games.

What I don't like is when the best friend is just there to exist or for you to fuck his relatives or GF.

I see these games as porn, and I'm not jealous if 5 guys are fucking the same woman in porn, I don't see myself as the MC in games, I see the MC as a movie character, porn actor.
