My own personal story... I found LC looking for new games/VNs and worked to get my + and started working towards the other ranks. It was fun. I enjoyed the discussions, participating in Mime's daily art forums, and the access to the games/VNs. I liked it well enough that I've donated a few times...
Like I said, I know it's not for everyone.
Also, the current economic situation isn't anywhere close to the Great Depression by any measurable statistic. The US economy in the mid-70s/early 80s and the COVID pandemic was far worse then now.
Don't forget the drop downs. You can get a weekly for 200AC or a monthly for 500AC. A monthly is also available for 20DC. I know it's not for everyone, but 20DC ($20 real money) gets you M+ for a month and helps keep the site funded.
Everyone needs to relax. DG said he's doing this and that needs to be good enough. Quit pestering the guy for details and with requests. He's going to do this as he sees fit so just chill and wait for the release.
Jack is working on all of the ranks and he bumped the prices up to prevent people from buying them until he's complete. Don't know where he's at with all that...
If I don't have at least a cup in the morning I'm dragging all day. It kind of sucks because I went from using it as a "pick me up" to being dependent.
Use the remaining life of the internet and cell network to try and find others.
If I'm truly alone, get an EV truck (Rivian, Cybertruck, etc). Find a house on the outskirts of town that's on a well and septic system; city water and sewage will fail quickly. Start stealing solar panels...
Never been an issue. But then again, after living in the field for nine months, you learn that wet wipes are your best friend and I always make sure I have some around.
Typically prefer a male MC, but some of the devs do a good job with female MCs like Partedes (It's Not A World For Alyssa, The Big Step, and Molly's Life).
Not really. Most PCB vendors are still using FR4 which has been around for 50+ years. It's also a lot easier to break traces on a PCB then you might expect, and once cracked can act in unexpected ways; anything from open circuits to weird inductance/capacitance issues at high digital speeds...
It would be a cool side story similar to what Clever Name Games did in their Single Again story, but if I have to choose between a Portia arc or a new chapter for Siren Song, Siren Song wins by a landslide!
