discussion Which route do you take first the bad one or the good one with your main character?(if the game has one)

Always the most corrupted route first. It's my escape from the real world where I'm actually a nice guy. Which is why I'm drawn to games like Malignant and But I'm the Bad Guy.

I play the good route first in games since I feel the dev intended for your character to be the good guy, and also I feel the good path is more fleshed out in games where as the bad route is short and to the point.

Depends. I want to be bad but I want the good ending. So corruption over romance but good ending over bad

I take the good route, I find it very hard to do a bad route cause i think im just a good person. but if im like extremely horny and bored than i do the bad route for fun

I generally play a little bit in the beginning, to see the kind of game t is, before choosing, if the bad route is not too heavy, I generally start with it if not I go for the good one, then just ctrl the other.

Usually good route. It really depends on how much of an asshole the MC becomes in the bad route. If it is too much abuse and rape, I don't really enjoy it from a first person perspective, so I tend to avoid.

But I often notice that even in the dark path the mc's thoughts are not completely bad, I haven't yet found THE game with the perfect dark path.

Usually save the "best" (i.e. the decision I actually want to be canon) for last.

This is interesting to me because I'm the exact opposite. Playthrough one is canon and anything after is like a "what if" scenario.

But agreed with some of the others, it feels a bit off to make any really evil choices, even in a VN.

I prefer games without different routes. But when playing one, I have no preference. It depends on what I expect to get picking one or the other route. And on my mood.

I used always go good but after awhile evil is more appealing to me and has more of the options I would choose. like not sparing someone or forgiving them. like at the end of a story the hero decides that killing the villain would make them just as bad that always annoys me.

I play the route I like the most. If this route doesn't lead to an early ending, I keep playing it until the end and doesn't restart a new game afterwards to play another route. If my route leads to an early ending, I play the second route I like the most, etc.

I usually dont touch bad routes, its always good routes for me, although if im bored enough why not?

I try to make choices that seem more logical for the situation, they end up being slightly bad but no extremely bad, then I see all the other paths.

I dont see the point in playing assholes to mistreat women.
But i like playing the "evil" fractions in real games to exterminate humans, like saurons gang in lotr games, zerg in starcraft, borg in star trek, hive minds in stellaris, etc. To make it short, every game that has humans as fraction is a game i play the other fractions first ^^

Let's take an example: Lewd Town Adventures.

One set of fetishes are locked into the good path and another set on the bad path.

So If I wanna knock up a bunch hoes I gotta be a good person. If I wanna dominate my enemies I turn into an asshole to the ladies.

That's more the breakdown for me.
