depends on the game and how much i dislike the characters. there was one game (cant recall the name) anyway the LI was obnoxious and the MC annoying, there was a choice to basically walk away from LI and I knew it was one of those non choice bad ends, i took it, the LI met an sad end and MC lived a long life alone without love. i said good game, though 5minutes was really short. and never played again. i didnt find anything about the game up to that point worth finding out if i might like the MC or the forced LI some time in a future update. another game, was a mom type ntr i think, found the mom to be just horribly annoying and nothing about her to be attractive nor her scenes arousing. so when i hit a bad end where she got herself killed, i thought it was a good end and never went back to that game either. other times i can find a vn entertaining enough to play through the updates, but not actually care what happens good or bad to characters and will play through the bad choices first cause it can be fun to watch ones world fall apart, you know rather than real life shit. only when im really engaged with a story and sympathize with characters will i try to make the good choices, but even then, i have a hard time making "good"choices when i feel they conflict with what the character would actually do. best example, neverwhere tales, the parents and kaija's betrayal is too deep, and people keep talking about how the kaija love route she does this and changes and blah blah blah. but i cant play the game out that way, cause at the moment of betrayal, the hurt and anger in the MC, i feel his character is more scorched earth then, most certainly when kaija admits to MC's face that she is not interested in him romantically, why would he try to keep seeing her, i mean its not a cuck game, he should have some damn self respect and walk away from betrayal and fake relationship as well as assume that his friendship is all fake as well. so, even when i see early released kaija renders and think, that looks good, im not gonna choose her route or ever play it, doesnt fit the MC's character to me. Not a bad end good end but solid example where ill at times make choices that fit the character regardless of what happens next

I'll generally switch back and forth as I progress. I don't want to miss anything. I'll reach a point and wonder what would have happened if... save, load and explode.

I have yet to find a game where I like the bad/evil path.

I prefere to play as a goody two shoes first and afterwards see how I can screw everyone over. But most games I played are very boring in that aspect, it's just kill that person instead of helping them or extort them for a little bit more money.

Almost always the good path, but for some specific LI's they need a little something more extreme.

I think its just a mood thing for me. I'll often switch between games. Maybe its based on their looks, or personality, not quite sure.

Is the dark side stronger?

Yoda states, "No. Quicker, easier, more seductive,"

For those games with two routes, I would typically only play the dark route. If its bro-sis content I might do both though.

I prefer the dark route usually, unless it is written so well I actually feel bad for doing bad stuff. If the game is really good I try the good route afterwards

I usually take the bad route first and the good one afterwards.

Generally, I take the good path, but in some games, because of the characters, I choose the evil path

A lot of it depends on the game, I try and take the good path first, then I might go back try the bad path to see what content I am missing out on. The only problem I then have is keeping track of the different paths, especially if it one that allows you to make good and bad choices.

i usually take the good paths, but will usually take dark paths on replays

I tend to keep it down the middle. Someone who has little patience, doesn't take shit from anyone, yet is a soft teddy bear underneath.

Ill take which ever decision makes most sense in the moment, hard to be purely good or purely evil.
I agree. My first playthrough is usually neutral. Then I go back and play the bad and good options like with the Mass Effect trilogy.

Normally i play the good route unless the story really calls for a little bit of evil.

It depend what is implied in the "bad guy" route. If there are rape involved it's a no-no for me.

Usually depends on the characters and/or which route has the most content.
