discussion Which game engine do you prefer?

I'm personally extremely biased towards Renpy due to RPGM often feeling clunky, browser having clearly limitations...
and Unity clearly being too difficult for most creators

Wolf is neat but rarely seen, I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing more of it.

I personally say
A bad game on Renpy is still fine
A bad game on Unity is unplayable


Let me know if I missed any popular porn game engines?

I prefer RPGM over Renpy but that is because I prefer games more PRG oriented but both are pretty good

Ren'Py because it supports rollback pretty much everywhere, and has by default autosave when it matters ^^;

Renpy because it has some of the best games on it. HTML can be used to make some really good games like DOL but most are awful.
I wish there were more that used engines like Unity or Unreal but most porn game Devs don't have that kind of skill.

Renpy has a few large advantages:
It runs everywhere (PC, Linux, Mac, Android) with minimum setup.
If you want you can modify it somewhat easily, which means that even brain-dead dev decisions can be circumvented (e.g. regarding fonts, rollback, even accessing the console to change vars).
It makes supporting the VN format very very easy, so even novice devs can try it.
It also has a few large drawbacks:
It is hard to implement anything that requires complex interaction

Unity or Unreal Engine for 3D games.

I hate RPGM. Even when the game has my favourite fetishes I won't play it if it's made in RPGM.
