Ren'py is the way to go. I have a problem with Unity and rollbakcs, so yeah, it sucks. And I try to avoid RPGM, as soon as I see that city map that all games seem to use lol

A game/VN I've been enjoying recently is Rational Chaos. Also, look for videos by Rainbow Brite (no games yet, sadly) and "The Confessions of Naughty Laura" by Billybethyname (just a series of videos as well). I wish I could think of some more games off the top of my head.

Rational Chaos is in the games+ section. The other stuff isn't available anywhere on this site as far as I know, but if you poke around the internet looking for those names, you're bound to come across some of it. Sorry I can't be more specific.

RenPy 100%
Built in rollback makes it already better than any other engine. It's also extremely easy to mod. We have URM which works for most games and if it doesn't we have a decompiler and everything is written in Python so it's really easy to edit yourself with minimal coding knowledge

Still trying to find it. And sill unsuccessful. managed to find some of the preview pics and I have to admit, it looks pretty damn good. But the vids? no such luck. awww man

Ren'Py by a huge margin. For RPGM I think only great ones I played were "Noelle tries her best" and "Karryn's Prison".

Renpy with DAZ models is greatest for me.

Renpy, very simple and stable when correctly used, compatible with almost every device. The only things that matter is the quality of renders, compression and gameplay.

The vast majority of Ren'py games are just a sequence of images and text that could have been published as a simple website (just HTML and images). It seems kind of unnecessary to publish those types of games in a format that requires players to run executables that could potentially be malicious.

But honestly as long as its not made with RPGM i dont care about the engine

I guess RenPy , but it really doesn't matter what engine is used as long as the game is good enough. But I won't play text based or those browser games..
