I've come hate any engine I can't stop and save whenever, or have instant text... A lot of good RPGM games for example end up getting on my nerves for having to finish long dialogue sequences before saving, and that's not even bringing up how most of them have scrolling text and no rollback.

RPGM are my soulmate; I like most of the games in that genre, even the bad ones..

people here seem to hate this genre, even though there are some masterpieces. In my opinion, the most of best hentai games are RPGM.

You can say that about most things. They are just engine at the end of the day, merely the foundation of the game. I have had bad text-based games before, a lot of AI slop and real porn in it. Personally, I like Wolf RPG since there are less bad games there, with RPGM in the second. Ren'Py left a bad taste in my mouth due to the excessive amount of 3DCG but I can still play it.

I understand. Personally, I like sandbox games like DoL and feel like text based games provide such freedom easier than any other type as it needs way less textures for encounters. Though I did see good games on other platforms as well.

Renpy - I also prefer VNs with choice - and Renpy seems to be the best engine for that...
