I'm talking about this:
I see this over and over in various game reviews and am wondering how it became the de facto standard here. Aren't the writing and art quality scores already personal opinions? Is there really nothing other than "writing" and "art" worth scoring? More importantly, how do those scores translate to a star rating? I've seen reviews with scores that averaged 3 end up with 4 stars, for example.
It just seems overly simple, misused, and yet redundant at the same time.
Help me understand, please!
