To directly answer the question, I KNEW I would like these games before they even existed, I just had to wait for the world to catch up and for the tools to allow people to make these games as a hobby, since no corporations were going to jump to the task

(There were a few pron games in the early 80s, but they were not very good. I have mint a copy of Custer's Revenge for Atari 2600, but I dont really count those Swedish Erotica games the same as the ones on this site)

Also to answer the question of the post. Porn did never do it for me for most part. The story and acting was never good enough or convincing. The VN have feel like a trip to what IF lane came to be and you see the version of events came to be that you would never dare of pursue IRL(it's like Bible, it tells you what not to do, not why not do do, it's like a bite into forbidding fruit only to discover the loose of innocence's and change it made)
