I think I was around 18-19, I did not know they existed, the first one was a VN (Dengeki Striker if I am not mistaken) and I did not know it was an adult game, I speend a good while only playing Japanese VNs, until I discovered Parental love (or the other game from the same dev don't remember which one or if it's even the same dev), and started playing western ones as well

My gateway drug was True Love, late 90's. Incredibly tame by today's standards, but what it had going for it, was that it was arguably an actual game. That's why even today I prefer games that one could play and enjoy even without the saucy stuff.

Actually only found these games in my early 20's. Started with 2d and then found 3d. Only reason I didn't discover earlier was because we only had a family pc at first. With my own personal pc, I was free to explore.

I found that I enjoy VN game more for story than for smut.

I originally only liked most of the 2d games that were commonplace years ago. I would avoid any 3d games thinking that they some how lesser.

Being bored one month, I gave a 3d VN a try and found myself surprised by how much I enjoyed not only the visuaks, but the story. Since that time, I've found several VN's that I greatly enjoy and have made monthly donations to the creator for.

I think for me it was about 15 or 16 when I consciously realised.

I was in Highschool with my friends and we'd go to the computer lab and use proxies to bypass the school security to play online games like meet and fuck and lessons of passion.
