Most are in Skyrim for me as well, nearing 4 digits. Haven't been playing this for years. Next is Monster Hunter World with about 800. Can't wait for Wilds.
First one on here that made me genuinely laugh out loud. That pained smile, I can't XD
Edit: I just realized that would also work really well with spitroast XD
Definitely prefer male MC. I also tend to avoid games that have only one or two female characters. If I wanted monogamy, I could just go out there and date XD
It depends. Often self-insert, but if the game does a good job of describing the character you're supposed to play as, I tend to play out their archetype. Like, if a character is set up as a cunning, strategically-minded individual, I might make more unempathic choices if I feel they're clever...
I feel that, I got my first near the end of last year and it was harsh. But I was thinking the same thing, the early strains would have been worse. Still not fun.

The titles with presentation that I enjoyed most are usually western games, while mechanically it tends to be eastern games. Off the top of my head I'm thinking Monster Hunter and the Disgaea series, both have a depth in their own way that is rarely matched by western games.

4X, Strategy, RPG, and Life Simulators. Also the occasional idle game as guilty pleasure. Also games that I will always fall back to at least once a year is Fallout 4 and TW: Warhammer (With All DCLs excluding Chaos Dwarves and beyond. Yet.)
Ironically that's being made (Assassin's Creed Shadows, Feb 14th), but I am almost certain that it will end up not feeling very japanese at all. Shoehorning in a diversity samurai during the Azuchi-Momoyama period in1579 is a pretty bold red flag to me.
