I prefer it. That way the dev can still make me work for that sweet familial fur burger without giving me blue balls. You need a cumdump to play around with while progressing through the story.

I think the same as you but I lean a little more towards the fact that if it is an incest game, the game begins to represent that.

To be fair this is really a non-issue for me, oftentimes it's also avoidable if you don't want to interact with the side characters. The reason this is often the case in these games I assume is due to the fact that the incest part takes some build up and thus there is a "need" to iclude at least some lewd content, especially in ealier releases trying to get ppl to pay for the development.

I don't mind that what I can't stand that is almost the same thing is fake sex or dream sex. It's a waste of my time and a waste of the devs to even make it.

I do not mind if it fits the story and the side girl is at least as hot as the main girls otherwise it's just a waste of time and energy.

Totally depends on how it fits with the story. Scenes for the sake of scenes will often involve rushed/lower quality writing, and can feel mechanical.

If there's a theme of a naive/repressed/vanilla MC having a sexual awakening, then it fits that they'd want to try all the pleasures on offer. Or maybe because of their inexperience they need the practice. Or perhaps this one side girl is the catalyst that starts their interest in the family. Or, or, or...

If it's a relationship that predates the start of the story (e.g. GF, and family turn up later), then it fits with the world building. It gives the MC a backstory.

Like most people say it all depends on the story. Throwaway sex scenes with unknowns I could care less about and just skip right through. I'm there for the story. The build up. Without the emotion the act feels pointless. And as long as there is emotion I personally don't care if the act is incest first or not.

There are a few games where the "side" characters can be as good as the family ones. Midlife Crisis is a standout for me. I quite like most of the non-family characters in that. Shame its abandoned.
