I was talking about simulated communication with chat bots.

Might as well join some chat groups with similar interests instead of ai. I used to be on ICQ 25 years back, and had that kind of chats, unfortunately I wasn't as perverted then, as I was now. But we might get some chats with voice recognition, that talk back to you. But unfortunately we still have a long way to go, before we don't notice those voices to be AI anymore.

chats bots might one day get to the point where their super realistic and it feels like your talking to a real person and maybe then I'll have some interest in them(tho I don't think I will even then) but at the moment there's just better ways to masturbate like porn games or hell I think just regular ass porn would be better then chat bots

I mean on reddit you got a bod that everytime spams you with all the options, go away....

And here you have stupid bot, that combines all your text. Like I reply to someone, okay nice. I add some new text which is a page later, that stupid bot starts to combine everything...

I tend to be in the camp that find them unnecessary. Most AI models are just far too unreliable to date. Even then, they are not human. They currently don't respond like a human close enough to keep you in actual norms for society if you were to substitute them as the majority of communication. Most people today tend to have online interaction more then in-person. I believe it's currently more of a hindrance than anything for long term interaction. May change with the evolution of AI but it just isn't there yet.

Yeah I think I agree, it just seems like something you can sink a lot of time and money into and not get much back. At least (pirated) porn and porn games are free, unlike the decent chat bots.

Yeah, That is one of the things that put me off it, The other being the disconnect on a more social level, I understand that might not be the case for most but I gotta draw a line somewhere.

I tried it once. I didn’t like it at all. It was boring and sterile. Even a conversation with a random person in a café or bar is more engaging.

If people are just using it to stoke their imagination, it's little different than porn. If someone's forming an emotional connection with their bot buddy, though, that's a whole different issue and more concerning.

Honestly I'm not really into them, or rather I've never used one. Although personal interest aside, I think they need to be treated very carefully. That whole thing with the 14 year old kid who killed himself because daenyras Targaryen told him to was super messed up...
