from my expierence. making your own chatbot is better then using the websites once. they tent to limits token. often dont allow some content. and you cant rly choose the modle yourself.

the advantage of useing your on chatbot localy are you can choose your own model freely and change it depending on the bot you want to lose. it allows you more option and you are not limited by rules. disadvantage the the tocken size but a decen graca allows you alot of tocken more then some websites give you. you can also freely edit stuff let the bot generate messeages in your stead. let 2 bot tal to one another and some more stuff.

I have used Silly Tavern integrated into oooba Text Gen UI, and you can download character cards from chub.ai to have a play/chat with. All running locally, but small VRAM/token size limits length of converstations/stories

Hi,
I used character.ai and crushon.ai in the beginning, but ended up using Oobabooga in combination with SillyTavern. You simply have more options and there are absolutely no limits to your imagination. Of course, it costs a bit of vram, that's the downside. But the RTX 3090 with 24GB is sufficient for good text and image generation. When the whole AI thing started, I knew I needed more power. I'm happy with it so far.

can u explain me better oobabooga and sillytavern? they are separate? work togheter? i have sd1.5 on my pc but i have only 8GB of Vram . i will be ok with just chatting and low quality imagese maybe, like 512x512 resolution
