Renpy games are so small it's hard to imagine whatever is taking up so much space on your computer absolutely has to be the size and has to be saved. There are likely temporary files you can clean out.

I have a very bad notebook, with little space and I don't have enough money to buy a new one,I can't even download some of the ones I wanted to play because they updated and the download was too big, what would you do in my situation?
i finally buy new one 🙏🙏 with more space

i normally just delete one of the games i played once and never played again. i have a habit of not staying consistant

There's always something new that I want to check out, and I delete the old ones.

I solved this problem by buying a large external SSD. It's fast enough to install the games on and run them from there.

Before that, I found it particularly annoying when Mega finished downloading a large game to some temporary location, then failed to copy it to my Download folder (instead of just moving it) because I didn't have twice the required space.

I usually delete the games after playing but keep the saves for the next update. hate it when the update brake your saves

either not download it, or free up some space. depends on what i need

At this point, my save folder is at 2.49gb, with 569 different games in it. At some point in the past, I just got a 2tb NVME just for VNs. Love my data hoarding.

I've recently started to add them to another NVME drive.
Normally I just sort by date and then I basically check if an older game has been updated or abandoned, if it's abandoned I just delete it.

When I don't have enough space I always try to delete files and uninstall games. But if I can't, I buy another external hard disk

I finally solved this problem by buying a 2 TB external SSD. Unlike the regular external drives that I used before, it's connected fast enough to play the games from. So I install them all on the external drive now. It also means I no longer need to keep all the installers in case I want to delete and later reinstall a game.

these drives are manufacturer refurbished, specifically they are revalidated by hgst in the factory and not externally. i have two in raid from 2022 and i store 7T of H game content on them. this is only my personal attestation, but i think they are good for the price.

Not a problem I'll have any time soon.
2 SSD 2 terabytes
3 hds:
2 4 terabytes
1 10 terabytes

Hasn't happened to me yet, though if it did I'd probably fist look for duplicates, then games that have new updates, and than delete games I'm probably never going to get to
