For me, I think it was the hidden stashed VHS I found in a desk that my parents used with a couple of magazines.
I recall the VHS had a couple of movies on it that you were your typical crappy plot 80s movie. One involved a teen being taken to a mental ward because her parents thought she needed help, she got assaulted there by everyone, then taken in by a sex cult. The other were a couple who were stranded and saw a near by house that turned out to be filled with sexually crazed vampires.
The magazines were penthouse and you can certainly bet I was fascinated.

Eventually that took me to using the internet and finding all sorts of garbage websites that gave the PC viruses as well as the smut games found on newgrounds

I can't exactly remember what one got me started, but I do recall a site where I would play some games like Final Fellatio, the Meet and Fuck games, and others. Think it might have been Daughter for Dessert that had me searching online years ago for the next release where I found 95 and then eventually this place.

I saw play-thru recordings on P-Hub (before it went to shit and nuked everyone a couple of years ago). I was looking for other areas where I might find similar content, and found a site with VNs. Dipped a toe on a couple of things, then jumped in afterwards. Not particularly prolific, only about 70 played, a couple dozen completed, and some are just "short story" VNs, but they are a nice change of pace. Haven't played anything for a couple of weeks now - my play time has had to be otherwise allotted for a time, but I'll get back to it within a week or two. Or, I could quit hanging out here as much instead.
