The very first VN I every played is still one of my favorites. It's from before renders where a thing. It was one of 4 english VNs on Itch,io back then. I was called "True Remembrance". After that I was hooked. For the more porn type game I would say "Katawa Shoujo was my first. I sometimes miss the days of sprites. The games just seemed more creative back then.

Honestly, it was probably something like 7 Sins or an Illusion game R...lay but after finding out about VN's the first one that dragged me into the whole VN scene was (according to my created folders of games I haven't deleted) Project Cappucino and The Artifact, quickly followed by Wicked Choices. I can't believe my time with these went back to 2018, I was shocked.
