Completely by accident. In May 2019, I was browsing the sections on pornolab and suddenly saw the “games” section. Most of them were Japanese projects of no interest to me, but suddenly Acting Lessons caught my attention. Graphics is completely different from Japanese, decided to familiarize, well, and got interested. I also found out about *95* and registered there the same day. And there it went....

Can't really remember the first but one of the first few were Fate/Stay Night, Bible Black, Divi Dead, Kanon, Da Capo, Do You Like Horny Bunnies?, Tokimeki Check-in!, Kana: Little Sister, The Sagara Family, School Days, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien(KGNE) etc. Basically the late 90s early 2000s, a few weren't really good but most were. Those old school VNs have the best stories. Believe it or not, i started with these VNs/H-games for the narrative and stayed for the narrative, the lewd stuff was just icing.

If anyone is interested in erotic visual novel with drama and good narrative, play Kimi ga Nozomu Eien(KGNE), it'll pull at your heartstrings. A little backstory of the game; your girlfriend(you are each other's first love) wakes up from coma after a few years but you've partially moved on despite still taking care of her. To your girlfriend, its only be yesterday since you've met her but for you, its been years. You're caught between her and your girlfriend's bestfriend who has been supporting you through the dark days and literally saved you(and whom you're now in a relationship with).
