What ruins things in a game for you?

I don't mind low amount of sex scenes, don't mind bad renders (even tho, when i look for a game, i base my final decision a lot on that), but if the story isn't passable, i will just stop caring. Maybe i'll still finish it, but i won't be interested

Lots of OK-looking games where the dialogue is so horrible it's not playable, lots of good-looking games with comic-sized genitals, and a few old games with small renders. Non-porn games - even indie - are often Unity 3D, not questionable 3DCG RenPy with even worse animations.

Grind and idiotic writing

When a VN shows dream scenes of sex with a love interest before there's been any actual sex scenes with them in the story.
Like, we haven't even seen the MC kiss this girl in the actual story yet, but we've already seen a full blown sex scene "in a dream."
It ruins all anticipation or build up in the sexual tension with that love interest.
