NTR, especially if its not avoidable. I've seen potentially great game ruined by it. gore/guro just kills it for me cause I don't like people getting hurt. Besides that, if the game lose focus on what it is I see it as a slow painful death of the game.

Hmm, I'm pretty chill with mist things I don't like, so most of these are only if they're a main focus.

-Scat/piss
-Feet
-Ntr, especially if it's heavy on the humiliation stuff. If it's not though, I don't even mind this being a main focus.
-Futa, specifically with no balls. I actually love futa, but the balls-less variation is so offputting to me. I know many feel the exact opposite way.
-A focus on milfs. I tend to like younger characters. Unfortunately I also prefer very thick/curvy characters. So if the nilfs are appealing enough, I will sometimes play anyway.
-Shota MC. Not 100% dealbreaker, but a big strike against.
-I love incest, but I'm not a fan of M/S at all. Unfortunate because it's the most popular pairing.

Milking. When a developer is intentionally drawing out or artificially inflating content for monetary reasons. Attempting to force a product that was not designed to be worked on/played indefinitely to be worked on/played indefinitely. Personally I blame live service games and E-Thots for the spread of this practice.

There are so many different ways to ruin a game.
Horrible story telling.
Poor balance in mechanics.
Bad character design Visual / personality
Bad quality checking (Played games where 2 characters are speaking using the same speech box and the name does not change. Left wondering who is saying what)
Bad plot point that changes the game (Moment of Bliss fining out the genetic BS, turned a great game into an ok game for me and others.)
Having a whiny MC. A moment or such is fine but when it's their personality just no.

Any kind of censoring and without a patch or ability to change relationships in game when it tries to get around Patreon rules with that "landlady/landlord", "tenant", "roommate", "childhood friend" shit. I mean "OMG I can't fuck my roommate" makes no sense.

terrible sandbox. i like vns for the simplicity with choices but i can also play a sandbox but not poorly designed sandboxes. And this is immediate noticed.

I find if a game tries to cater to too many fetishes, it will often be bland, and people will be disappointed if they played the game for a few of those specific fetishes.
NTR vs no NTR is in a similar vein. IMO a game will be better if it's either not included at all, or focused on it, i.e. unavoidable (and I enjoy both). Optional NTR paths have always been kinda meh in my experience.
