Kung Fu Hustle. Pure comedy, fantastical elements, and action all rolled into one. Good way to exaggerate your understanding of Chinese culture for sure.

Also any movie centered around a dog and its death. People die in movies all the time but it isn't always sad. Now a dog... the heart break builds character.

But if I'm being completely serious: Akira, The Matrix, and The Lion King (I mean its Hamlet but animated)

Fight Club has been on my "I'll get around to it" list for years and years. Somehow I just never seem to be in the right mood.

I highly second Fight Club. That has been one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. I believe it's a must for men to see.
