It's not the first game I've played since when it released I just got out of High School. But it's the one that I loved so much that it completely changed my way of seeing games and made want to discover more about games and the experience what they can offer.

Dragon Age : Origins.

I got into gaming watching my older cousins play while wishing I could join. I wanna say my first core memory of a game was watching one of them play Halo 2. After that I eventually got a hammy down Xbox. And then years after that I got a 360 which was the next major core memory of playing Xbox live for the first time on one of those free trial passes that used to come with games. I remember play Halo Reach until the sun came up. Now what keeps me in gaming is the social aspect and the nostalgia, I like the escapism part of it as well. I surprisingly haven't played anything in awhile besides these.

On PC : the very first Football Manager... That and the first Red Alert.
hell yeah. Red Alert and its DLC was huge for me too. i still remember the big jewel case that is came in had like 5 cds in it

Pokemon Yellow on Gameboy Color

Jesus some of the answers here have made me feel shockingly old. People naming games that I swear only came out last week.
I have vague memories of playing Test Drive on a 5.25 inch floppy waaaaaaay back in the day, I grew up playing games tbh
PCs games, consoles, Arcades games apparently I've been gaming longer than a lot of you have been alive. I'm still shit though.

my first game was Urban Chaos on PS1 ( Great game by the way ), then Cossacks and American Conquest on PC.

Dungeon of Daggith. you can play it for free online now

Super Mario Brothers on the NES.

I remember the feeling of accomplishment the first time I beat that game. No guide, no help, the my little fingers running and jumping. None of my friends had even come close at that point.

First proper game was Diablo 1. Played it twice on PC. Just awesome.

probably need for speed or guitar hero

Spyro 2 Ripto's rage, such a good game. was so happy when the reignited trilogy came out. Played it to death, and replay it whenever I'm bored

Like most bad ideas: my brother got me into it.

Red Alert 2. Watched my uncle play it during my childhood, seems like fun so I begged him to install it into my family computer, and now here I am...

Probably Super Mario World. Something of that era.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is what did it for me. I just kept staring at that bartender's boobs.

oh god i can't remember but if i had to say it was a bubble bobble arcade machine in the local laundry mat

Probably a Pac-Man knockoff for the Odyssey 2, or Donkey Kong.

Donkey Kong. I used to beg for quarters to play it, I believe the local pharmacy on my street had the arcade. Right across the richdale where I got Slush puppies. Also Pacman used to be in a bowling alley that had it. Eventually we got an Atari and all I did was play Pacman, the Star Wars arcade and Donkey Kong. And some years later we got an NES and Super Mario Bros and the Legend of Zelda and I was hooked on video games.
