William Shatner's Tekwar.

Nah, that's way too depressing. Probably some quarter-eating arcade machine.

I've played many games in my past, but they were all casual until I found Doom!
That game changed the course of my life as it got me hooked into PCs.

For me it was going over to my aunt and uncle's place for the holidays and playing super mario bros on the NES. Have loved gaming ever since.

ironically i got hooked on those kids educational pc games from like the 90s. instead of games encouraging me to learn, learning encouraged me to play games.

I forgot which game specifically, but I remember it was some mario game on snes way back on a mini handheld tv.

I can't remember which one it was, but it was either Pokemon Yellow, or Spyro the dragon, I just can't remember if I had a gameboy or a PS1 first.

Pokemon Blue must've been my very first game I think? I also remember playing Crash Bandicoot on the PS1 though that must've been some time later.
As for PC gaming I started with RTS games like AoE2, WC3 and some others. WC3 custom maps really got me into online gaming and then later on I basically played all kinds of MMO slop during that genre's peak in the mid-late 2000s and early 2010s.

On Nintendo (SNES): Zelda - A Link to the Past
On PC (386): Colonization

I'm literally turning to dust, but for me it was The Legend of Zelda on the NES (In my defense I'm not actually that old but my family was poor so we got the old consoles when our cousins upgraded, always one generation behind the current gen)

Probably something with Mario on my cousin's old console. I spent holidays at his place, and whenever it rained, I played that game.

I started with the PlayStation.
Dino Crisis, Spyro and Parasite Eve 2 were the ones I spent most of my time on. I lost count how many times I beat those games.

Yep! That was it for me also, but at that time if you wanted to play it you had to actually type it in each time using simple basic, and of course debug it to play if you missed a syntax or something. At that time there wasn't such a thing as "storage" devices... :( That came a little later in the form of cassette tape...
