Been seeing a lot of AI games popping up for a while now, never really got into playing any, are they good or should i stay away from them?

I think AI is going to revolutionize the industry. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet though. I'd also be curious which games you mean?

Those suck ass, at least most of them

AI games as in games made with AI, games featuring AI artwork, or games with AI as a topic within the game?

Most of them are low effort garbo as of now but in a year or two it will most likely be a viable alternative to honey select. The problem for me is the consistency just isn't there yet and the uncanny valley six-fingered girls are a little too much for me as of now.

the AI CG ones, saw a game called "Delivery!" the other day
Ah, answered right as I responded. In that case, I think they're kinda meh and lazy, I'd rather they just did a text game. However, if the dev's plan is to use AI CGs as placeholders while commissioning an artist, and just using the CGs as a way of showing what they want the end product to be like, that's perfectly fine.

I also don't really knock devs using AI CGs for things it would be more difficult to commission an artist to create.

AI removes an effort filter. The usual result is low effort in other ways.

I think you just discovered a new fetish.

I think its similar to all the honey select games we've seen. It will be a big pile of garbage but among them there will be a few who are able to better utilize the tool than others. I haven't played any worth recommending but just try them and find out if you like them. you would probably be able to tell with the first few minutes or so.

Right now the seem to be low efforts cash grabs that get a few updates and gets abandoned, however it is a pretty interesting tools if it is use correctly

Taffy Tales is a good game that predated AI, but now utilizes it with tweaks to increase the content somewhat. It seems to do a good job.

I feel like I'm waiting around for one or two of them with some real effort put in before I can really judge that. Nothing around seems as if it has been a real attempt other than some cash grabs as said above.

If they can make more realistic looking, it will be great.

Of course a lot is low-effort garbage, but there are exceptions. If the dev really puts some effort in (training loras for the individual characters, postproduction, paint-in, etc) there is a lot of potential. But that takes just a different skillset than other ways of creating art, not no skill.

I'd say avoid it for now. AI still has a way to go but once it learns enough, the content generated might be worth our while.

I have high hopes for them even though they aren't that good for now. Free Cities modders implemented ai image generation perfectly i think everyone should try
