discussion What are your opinions on games made with real porn?

absolute meh, most of these types of games are going for quick buck only without putting in real effort. Look, those games that typically have real porn are used on HTML and QSP engine and those are the ones where you just slap pictures or videos, write a scenario and where are those real porn pictures are located, that's it. Most of times it just falls through due to incompetence at writing story.

The problem I have always had with "Real Porn" games is that the acting very rarely matches up with the story, even sometimes having different actors playing a single part. In order to enjoy a real porn game, it would need to be porn that was filmed specifically for that game (which has only happened once that I know of, and they didn't get particularly far into the game before running out of funds... apparently trying to get a girl to have sex for your game requires paying her a good amount.) (The game was "Once Upon a Time in Dream Town". Don't think it has been hosted on LC.)

I agree with the consensus, Porn is everywhere on the internet. I never understood why you would play thoses games? This is just my opinon. I love the art in animation not the fake acting found in real life game play.

I generally avoid them, unless there's a story of sorts that I find appealing.
So far the only one that comes to mind that I think is pretty good is "College Daze".

Personally, I'm not a fan of them, like at all. I think it's more than kind of lazy. I look at it like this, let's say I take your favorite movie, and then dub it over with complete gibberish. Did I create something, really? Sure, I guess? In the laziest fucking way possible. Yeah, you'd have to do some coding and whatever, but it's the not same. I'd rather play a game with the crappiest renders you've ever seen. Because at least the dev, they're trying, and could get better at rendering their models and whatever, with some time. How do you make real porn any better? What do you even do with it? Waste of time, and effort in my opinion. That time could be spent learning to use Daz3D or HS2 or something instead of pilfering clips or stills of real porn and making it into a "game".

I'd really like to read some opinions on this. Maybe somebody makes an argument and I see that I'm way off base here. I'm not trying to shit on any of you that like those games that use real porn. I say good for you. And I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. You do you, play the games you like.

The whole point of games here is the fantasy of it, and a large part of that is visual.

If you want real porn there is tons of that out there. I get disappointed when I come across something interesting then look at previews and it's irl stuff.

I'm a fan of caption porn, and real-porn games is just that taken up a notch.,
My main issue is that because they can only use existing content, they tend to have to write their story around what is happening in the picture/animation, which limits what they can do with them. Also, the actors tend to change in appearance between pictures since they were taking from different shoots.

Overall I think it's a bit exploitative/lazy, but there are some good games that use real porn that I could recommend. College Daze come to mind.

Since they come from real sources, I imagine you're basically stuck with real estate porn which is oddly common nowadays for some reason. I guess it's a result of high interest rates and lack of affordable housing?

It's usually very hard to find a good one because you as the developer kind of have to build your entire game around preexisting assets and unless you actually happen to find that one chick with a thousand image sets under her portfolio for you to build a story around her being your MC's loving Landlady you're most inevitably going to have to glue shit together with other girls that kind of resemble the first one but not really.... and things simply don't work out in the end.

Some do better than others and are less of a clusterfuck, such as Cmac's "A Spell for All" and
Alcahest's "The monastery" but they're very few and far in between imo.

There are some good ones but I think the problem is that real porn is often used because it's easy/less work and that mentally also on display in every other aspects of the game, so you end up with a "game" that feels more like a glorified slideshow of porn.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of those low effort real porn games, made by people who seem to think they're the only ones with access to porn on the internet, with extremely tedious gameplay, next to no character development and barely any story with the only reward for your time being a few pictures and/or clips from some porn with little, if any, written dialogue accompanying them, and that's somehow supposed to leave the player wanting to see more...

In my opinion, real porn games need to be interesting to the point that they make you look past the fact that you could easily find porn elsewhere that would cater exactly to your tastes instead of whatever is used in the game. I also think player agency is all the more important in real porn games because, again, they need to compete even harder than other types of games with the players "just watching porn" instead of playing their game.

Absolutely pointless in my opinion, that's what all the real porn sites are for.
Surely it is hard to find the right scene for the story or vise versa fitting a story into the scene. That's probably why the are pretty short!
Plus keeping the MC as the same guy will be a pain in the ass!!
